This hotel has very special memories for me. I last stayed here 40 years ago, and returning felt meaningful. The staff could not have been nicer. They welcomed me with a thoughtful little gift, and whenever there was any small mistake, they apologized graciously and handled it properly. I love the hotel, the location, and the atmosphere. The staff is truly outstanding. My only caution is the mattress. It was extremely soft, and after sleeping on it, my neck and back were really bothering me. Before booking, I would suggest asking about the bed or mattress firmness. Other than that, I have great affection for this hotel and would happily return with a better mattress 😁

DO NOT STAY HERE. I know 5 star in Europe doesn’t equate to 5 star in America but it was truly the worst hotel we’ve stayed at in years. The room smelled like cigarettes, the rooms were TINY, there was no AC in the hallways or the gym, the elevator was broken the whole time we were there, the internet speed was 5 mb so I couldn’t get on zoom calls for work or even access websites, the water pressure in the shower was so bad I couldn’t get soap out of my hair, there was only a handheld shower head, just all around horrible. I’ve stayed in 3 stars that seem like a dream compared to here. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Besides that, I do not recommend at all. It takes a lot for me to write a review good or bad but I had to do it for the sake of others so you do not have the same experience. When you walk in the lobby and the outside is very nice but then you start to head to your room and you quickly realize you got catfished. We got switched rooms after one night and both were horrible.
