If you're in Madrid for tourism and need a hotel to sleep, shower, and go, this is hotel is prefect. If you want to spend time in the hotel, do some work in a spacious room, or dine and drink at the hotel, this is not the place for you.
Our room was a standard queen room. It was small, with one queen bed, bathroom, a hair dryer, a shelf for clothes, and two little shelves at each side of the bed bed acting as night tables. It also has air conditioning and even though the lowest set point the thermostat allowed was 20 C, I am sure it was actually colder because the room got pretty cold at night.
The room does not come with a coffee maker, microwave, fridge, iron/ironing board, and it lacks closet space. It doesn't include breakfast but you can get it for 13€ per person.
The hotel is very well located, just 5 minutes away from the Mendez Alvaro train station. The check-in process was quick. Staff were friendly and they spoke English and Spanish. Upon arrival the room was clean and organized. It is modern, and there's little wear and tear. The bathroom has only one door that acts as bathroom and shower door. There was enough space under the bed to store a couple of medium sized suitcases.
Overall we were very pleased with our stay and would book again. This is somewhat of a no-frills hotels, with a cost per night in sync with what it offers. It is perfect to sleep, shower, and go out and discover Madrid. If you're looking for a hotel experience, look somewhere else.
