Excellent hotel, the staff were all absolutely brilliant! Wonderful local recommendations (and cocktails!) from the bar staff, dinner in the restaurant was incredible - the oysters were fabulous! Breakfast and the staff were wonderful and so attentive! Enjoyed a swim in the outdoor pool on a sunny October day, well worth a visit!

A ten minute walk from the centre. The car park was small and expensive. The property itself is attractive and the room was clean and comfortable, if not particularly spacious. Was given a £7.50 voucher for a drink as I was willing to forego my room being cleaned after the first night. A good range of cocktails in the bar. The bar itself did feel a little like it was taking up a space rather than being a focal point of the ground floor. But it was a pleasant stay.

A beautiful stay at HdV. The staff were friendly and attentive - everyone you saw in the morning said hello and seemed happy working there. Facilities were immaculate. While the room had a fault with the air con (due to recent overuse in the heatwave) the staff immediately produced two fans to help as best they could and it made all the difference. The breakfast offering was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed for 3 nights staff good room on the small side it was the bathroom that was really small and smelt of urine I didn’t help the at the windows didn’t open at all. I accept it’s a lovely old building but it needs a lot spending on it to bring it up to Hotel Du van standards.
