We stayed two nights. Our room was very nicely appointed, the bed comfortable, and the bath roomy and clean. The building is only four years old and was designed by the owners for maximum privacy. Upstairs is a dining room where a wonderful breakfast is served. Owners are vegan/vegetarian friendly. One of the owners may offer some Cape Breton style fiddling after breakfast if you ask. We would go back.
Hands down the best place I stayed on Cape Breton Island. My experience was 5 hotels in seven days. The room was quite a bit more than Keltic lodge a night but room was updated, convenient, lots of amenities, clean, superior bathroom products like soap, shampoo conditioner. I stayed in room 5 on the corner. Excellent room on the corner of the main lodge. The room even had a ceiling fan so I could sleep to the nice motor hum like I do at my own home.
