County Hotel
8/10 Good
"Shabby but adequate for a couple of nights. Parking was ok for us but it could be a problem if there are a lot of guests. It’s first come, first served for about 25-30 spaces; there are other car parks in the vicinity. We didn’t eat there; it’s very close to the city centre and there is plenty of choice in the area. Room was ok but beds could have been made better as the mattress was visible at the bedhead but it was comfortable and a fan had been provided as it was pretty warm! Certainly worth the money we paid (as cheap as some youth hostels). Floors creak which disturbed us occasionally"
The Halston
10/10 Excellent
"Great stay with a friend. Very central with parking close Will be back"
ibis Carlisle – City Centre
8/10 Good
"Rooms were good, clean and big enough for a budget hotel. Hotel lobby is a little dated. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We did not have breakfast because we needed to leave early, so cannot comment on its quality."
Carlisle Station Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by BW
8/10 Good
"Needs a refurb but for the price it was fine. All staff very pleasant and the room spotless. Bar was closed for a while due to a technical issue and the lift not working but other than that, all good."
THE ROADHOUSE
10/10 Excellent
"Walking distance from city center & railway station. Staff welcoming and helpful. Cash machines & food outlets nearby."
Gretna Hall Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We had an lovely stay! The grounds are beautiful with lots of areas to sit, and the breakfast was hot, fresh, and delicious. The staff—they are incredibly friendly, warm, and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended."
Horse & Farrier Carlisle
10/10 Excellent
"Had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Horse & Farrier. Room was excellent with great facilities , Comfy bed , iron and ironing board , hairdryer and lovely big shower. full size fridge and wine glasses and a sink complete with fairy liquid, great if wanting to eat in as there was also knives and forks in a drawer. We had a meal on the second night which was really good. The staff were amazing ,really friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. There is a bus stop directly outside and buses into the city centre are frequent and cheap(£2.40 single) Would stay again and recommend."
The Hazeldene Hotel
8/10 Good
"Yes it takes pets , was not there to look at shops , staff were nice"
Pinegrove Hotel
8/10 Good
"Had a lovely break at Pinegrove, we had a recently refurbished room, mucky footprints on the bathroom floor but the rest of the room was clean, a bedside table for both sides of the bed would have been nice and/or a table to use the kettle on, we had to rest it on a chair, hotel is a little outdated & could do with a lick of paint, but that said we would stay there again. Breakfast was very good"
