If you want a true German small town experience this is the place to stay. Staff was excellent. A car is a must. We traveled to Cologne and Eltz Castle. Would definitely recommend
Lovely accommodations adjacent to an historic castle. I stayed in a single room on the 4th floor (a.k.a. "attic space") which was perfect for a solo traveler. This compact room offered excellent views of the Rhine River too. One thing about the 4th floor though, you will have to walk up from the 3rd floor as there is no elevator service to the 4th floor. If that is an issue, then simply book a room on the lower floors. The restaurant is excellent but can be busy, so reservations might be...
The hotel is right in the center of a very quiet town. Great walks around the town and along the Rhine, and the bus passes right in front to take you to Koblenz or to other towns along the river. The the breakfasts and dinners in the restaurant were very good and the owners most accommodating. A lovely find.
Really nice German family run hotel. Friendly, welcoming, super clean, loads of hot water, good TV channels and wifi. Particularly good price to quality ratio.
The property is very nice. The breakfast included was wonderful. The town of Keidrich is about 5 minutes away and has so many wonderful restaurants. My only complaint would be the view. When we booked, the room says valley view but since our room was on a lower level it actually overlooks the driveway and the parking lot. All night long, you can hear cars driving up. I think if we had a higher level room it would have been more enjoyable.
Beautiful wooded location. Clean comfortable room. There is an interesting animal reserve next door. Lots of free parking.
My only suggestion for improvement is to provide a bar of soap and shampoo. I thought the breakfast was decent but not great with no cooked food available. These minor points don’t detract from how nice a place this is.
Loved the location. Breakfast was wonderful. The restaurant across the way that was the affiliated with the hotel was also great. Stupid person that I am, I couldn’t figure out how to work the shades until the next morning and didn’t see any in the bathroom altho the window may have been glazed a bit. Make sure you figure all that out before you turn in for the night :)
