"Had an amazing stay. I stayed in the Garden Cottage and it was beautiful. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and they supplied plenty of wood for the open fire. An added bonus was breakfast supplies in the fridge including bacon and eggs and the bread they had was delicious as well. The grounds were quiet and it was an easy walk to both lower and upper Olinda. Lots of cafes and hiking spots close by as well. I’ll definitely be staying here for my next getaway. "

"This is a fantastic place to stay. Kangaroos and large sulphur-crested cockatoos feel like part of the cottage itself. You naturally greet the animals as you see them around, and in the early morning you wake up to unique bird sounds that make you feel as if you are in the middle of the forest. The fireplace in the living room is wonderfully warm, and both the indoor and outdoor dining areas are excellent."

"This mostly went very well. The room was lovely complete with an outside area (with a table and chairs). The bathroom was 'traditional' - it even included a bidet (no I didn't use it). The room was mostly lit by 'lamps' which all worked from the one switch which was very useful. The only let down was that the TV for some reason was only 'standard definition' which meant it only allowed you to watch the ABC, SBS & Channel 9. Very unusual it's safe to say."

"Not a bad hotel just up the road from the main town centre of Lilydale. Only a five minute walk to the Lilydale International Hotel (great meals). On arrival I found the room to be clean and in very good order. The staff in the office were very helpful and guided me to various places around town. I had found out later that this hotel is part 'social housing' / 'halfway house'. When I woke Sunday morning, the police were present and I assume someone had O-D'd in a room up from me, as an...

My daughter has food intolerances and they were a great help with heating up pre prepared food etc. Breakfast was beautiful with gorgeous views over the Yarra Valley. I would love to come back. "

"First room appeared to have had door kicked in and had fist indents in the wall. Asked for another room which was nicer but toilet water would not stop running. Would not stay here again. Staff member was lovely and he was the best thing about the place. "

"Everything about our stay at Buttercuphill B&B was tops! Kim was the perfect host from her communication before our arrival to our welcome on arrival, her hospitality during our stay and our farewell. She really knows how to make people feel at home and her breakfasts and cookies were amazing. The property really is charming and located within easy walking distance into town. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it to others."
