This B&B excelled in every way. As grandparents traveling with a twelve-year old, we praise Sue and staff in making us feel beyond welcome. The pool and the outdoor heated tub absorbed much of our granddaughter's excess energy, as did playing with the resident Rottweiler Axel. The grounds are lovely-lots of holly and ivy- and the rooms, immaculate and full of charm. The traditional Yorkshire breakfast is a plus for hardy appetites.

9/10. We are a family of four and stayed in the Resolution Room. It was exceptionally clean and very spacious, with two bedrooms and a huge bathroom. A small continental breakfast is provided in the room, including a pastry, cookies, yogurt, a selection of cereals, apples, juice, and milk. Nothing particularly special, which is why I rated it 9/10 rather than 10/10, but it was included in the very reasonable room rate and, as we are not big breakfast eaters, it suited us perfectly. Mark and Lyndsay were excellent hosts. This was my favorite stay in England. The pub is situated in a small community and you could definitely feel that vibe. A local gentleman told us to wake up with the sunrise and it was well worth seeing it come up over the valley with the birds heading out for their day. The food was absolutely delicious (we had the pizza and breakfast the next morning.) I can’t recommend this place enough.
