Check-in staff were friendly and helpful, room lacked sockets/charging points around the bed. Shower was dreadful. Warm and cold also lacked pressure. Hotel overall is cheap and you get what you pay for. Was a good last minute option when prices for other localish hotels were extortionate.

Room was clean and full of quality furniture, bed was fantastic. Definitely recommend upgrading to the deluxe rather than standard. (Photos of deluxe) Didn’t try to on site pub but the staff at reception were fantastic. Parking was ample as even with the gym and pool in use was still able to find a parking spot without any hassle. Was staying for work and have booked to stay there again.

Room was ok as was wifi couldn't get food as the kitchens shut at odd hours check out is 1100hrs kitchen shut at 1030hrs, it was quiet though there was an ajoining door to the next room, kept secure buys tiny lock and a flimsy chain. The windows wouldn't open so no fresh air and was very hot good for an overnight pit stop not if traveling as a family.

The staff on arrival and throughout the 1 night stay were lovely and very helpful. The rooms are dated the carpet and soft chair were very old and stained. Could do with the chair removing even putting a hard wipe down one would be preferable. The bed was so comfortable and clean. The leisure facilities were nice and towels provided. The bar was big with pool tables dart board other games. The food was lovely for the money and steak was cooked to perfection. For £15.99 couldn't fault it. Breakfast was lovely plenty of choice. For £72 for 2 people including breakfast and £3 parking would definately go back

We had to pay for parking which i thaught was unfair the pool and spa were standard the building outside was in poor condition and we had no shampoo so we had to go out and get some there was smell of weed in the halls and fighting shouting and banging until 2am l the breakfast was not nice. The room was ok we paid extra for the better room the seats outside were never maintained or cleaned so we could not use them and the mattress was very firm we were sore and tied the next morning will not be going back.

I had requested a quiet room when I made the booking online as I was travelling with a nervous dog. On arrival the receptionist was trying to explain the room situation but I couldn’t understand a word she was saying as she was speaking to me with her fingers over her mouth. Not a good start. That said the room was very clean if not somewhat dated as is the rest of the hotel surrounding facilities looked very good. I had a drink and a bite to eat at the pub at the side of the hotel very good. If you like sports bars

Place is looking a bit tired and rooms cleaned not so often. Main issue is parking, plenty spaces but many people find out there is an additional cost of £3 per night, this cost is hidden during booking, in fact trip advisor states free parking which is wrong and I believe this causes issues when people are checking in. Upside staff are fantastic.

Booked for two nights, couldn't cope with the 2nd night so checked out and headed home. The staff friendly and helpful, and we used the bar which was great, but unfortunately the most important thing was the room. It was small, outdated and just a little bit dirty. The bed was tiny and pushed right over into the corner meaning one of us had to climb over the bed to get in or out. It was a double room but the bed was at best a large single. It was the worst and most uncomfortable nights sleep. The shower bearly worked, just about triggled out making us feel dirtier after the shower than before it. Then to top it off, we were both bitten to pieces over night. Overall, great staff and a decent location but other than that, it was a bit of a horror show.

Cheap and nasty

The general condition of the hotel is poor, old, tired and a bit scruffy. The rooms just about fit the bill, but the bathrooms are very small. The general condition of the hotel is not good, the corridors are grotty and the floor is uneven. The staff are hit n miss, the cleaning ladies were friendly enough the night shift staff were completely incompetent, and don't expect room service, I had to order in a pizza!! It may have been because it was late, but they declined to provide even a sandwich, the only thing they gave me was a pizza shop number and even that wasn't great. I will avoid this place in future and try and find somewhere more satisfactory. The only positive thing is the price, but even then it wasn't value for money.
