"Everyone was very accommodating. We had a wedding to attend and they were able to get us into our room early enough to dress for the wedding.
Very nice people!"
"spacious room with chairs, large bathroom. nice to sit on the porch. Good continental breakfast provided. Helpful and friendly staff. Convenient to grocery store and the park."
"The staff was sooo friendly and for being a little bit older seeming it was very clean. The walk to town, can’t beat the closeness, it only takes 5 minutes and you get to walk the cure streets without trying to find parking. And they had the best price point compared to every other hotel around."
"Great location to go through Acadia national park. Nice botanical gardens to go through and quaint downtown with restaurant and bakery. Restaurant on site was very good. We had breakfast and dinner there. Nice view of Harbour."
"Great location in centre of town, staff on the front desk were amazing, so helpful and informative with regards to trips and restaurants, nothing was too much trouble.
Fantastic rooms and free car parking at the hotel.
Would highly recommend to our friends."
"Chris was very kind and attentive. Very clean and comfortable space. Breakfast was delicious. Would be the first place we look to book next time we come to the area."

Had a comfortable stay for 2 days during New Year’s! Very clean and friendly staff who were willing to go above and beyond to help with our requests. Beautiful views - highly recommend!
This is a new property. The rooms are sized generously. Parking is either below the building or across the street. The location is great with restaurants and coffee shops across the street. We had a very comfortable stay and would definitely stay here again.
We had a lovely stay at the Sand Bar Cottage. The location was perfect. Chris and his staff were very professional and pleasant. Our room & bathroom were spacious. Our only negative comment would be that we did not receive housekeeping every day. The bed was never made up nor was the trash removed, at a minimum. The room fees were upwards of $425/per night. Housekeeping should be provided.
A great Inn. A little bit of a walk to Bar Harbor (about three quarters of a mile) but much quieter. Acadia entrance about a mile. Breakfast very good, staff and cleaning very good. Very happy with our hotel choice.
Beautiful old building. Easy access. Stephan and staff were very friendly and helpful and you could tell they love their job! The food - oh my gawd sooo good!!! Breakfast daily and afternoon/evening tea as well!! Towels are so fluffy!! Would absolutely return!!!
The Ivy Manor Inn was a great find for us. We were greeted in the lot by Orville who was happy to help with our bags and lead us our check in where two glasses of bubbly were poured as we got our key and moved into our spacious and very comfortable first floor room. Breakfast was plenty for two people on the go. Don't pass up the blueberry muffins. Seriously. The live music (2-5) on the lawn was an unexpected treat as well with beer and drinks available followed by fire pits in the evenings. The...
The room was lovely, sparkling clean, plenty of towels. The staff was extremely helpful.
We have been to many hotel/motels that offer "breakfast included". The breakfast was plentiful and amazing. The hotel was filled and the menu was plentiful. We were pleasantly surprised and sated as well prepared for exploring Bar Harbor. Hotel's location is a fast easy drive from the Harbor.
The Inn was beautiful, excellent location and wonderful breakfast. Room was lovely and everything was very clean and welcoming. I would definitely stay there again when back in Bar Harbor
We stayed 2 nights at the Highbrook, Sept. 14th & 15th. The room was large and spotless, and had been recently renovated. The location was perfect for visiting Acadia and the Town of Bar Harbor. The free shuttle buses stop at the hotel. The breakfast was very good, it included Breakfast Sandwiches, Oatmeal, Bagels, Muffins, Eggs, Yogurt, Bananas, Orange Juice, Coffee, Hot Chocolate and Condiments of all types. We would definitely stay here again.
This place is awesome! From the front desk having all the information you need, to the snacks and coffee needed for long hikes at Acadia, this hotel has it all. The room is simple but has everything you need. The location is great, easily walkable to all the restaurants and shore line. Definitely will stay here again!
The room was big and comfortable, all amenities needed, breakfast was delicious!! Such a nice experience, like home but with hotel amenities!
The only thing I would suggest is a full length mirror , there was none in the room and us ladies need that!
Great location near shopping and running options. Park your car and walk downtown Bar Harbor right from your room! Too bad you can hear noise from the upstairs room.
The property is beautiful... Love it was up on a bluff overlooking the property and water...
A Deer was seen grazing in the yard in the evening too..
Loved the Breakfast too.. it was delicious and convenient to get nourishment first thing in the morning without the crowd of downtown restaurants and got us out and about to explore Bar Harbor and spending the day in Arcadia National Park.
Would highly recommend and would return on another visit to that area...
This is my third time staying here and I’ve never been disappointed. I’ve stayed here twice during the summer and once during the fall. The rooms are super cozy. The room is always so clean and smells great. It’s close enough to downtown and Arcadia National Park. When in the room you can’t hear the traffic. Hanscom’s is definitely a diamond in the rough. I also have to say Isis who works at the property is always super nice and fast with responding if you email her.
