Great food and service. The concierge was so helpful and welcoming; all staff were wonderful. The room was big and spacious, with a hot shower. Thank you!
Staying at this hotel just made our stay on the Isle of Skye ten times better than I had hoped for. The hotel included dinner every night with our stay which ended up being a great idea. The food was excellent and not having to drive the narrow, twisty roads after dark was a plus. They have two living rooms, a small bar room and the dining area so there are plenty of spaces to spend a relaxing evening. The rooms are newly refurbished and gorgeous. The claw foot tub in ours was an added bonus. I...
Sligachan is always a wonderful place to stay while on Skye. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and you can’t beat that view of the mountains in the morning. We can’t wait to stay here again!
Wonderful place, wonderful people. The staff was so friendly and helpful, as were the other guests. The kitchen and common living space were especially spacious and humongously homey. The only downside was that the road near the close-by fairy pools was filled (unfilled?) with potholes- which really has nothing to do with the hostel and I don’t need to note that in this review. 10/10, I’ll definitely be staying here again next I visit Skye- which is ASAFP (As Soon As Financially Possible).
The Kinloch Ainort Apartments were a joy - so peaceful with the sheep grazing and the quiet of the area. The apartments appear to be brand new. They are spacious and have everything you will need for a great stay. The beds were comfy and the shower was hot! We traveled to Broadford (15 minutes or so away) to get groceries at the CoOp. We also enjoyed a really good pizza at Cafetesia there. After visiting busy Portree on our trip around the Isle we are glad we chose a quieter place!
During our 2-week visit to Scotland, I managed to catch RSV. I was miserable. And by the time we reached Portree, I was struggling to breathe. My husband spoke to the Cuillin Hills hotel staff about how to go about seeing a doctor and they immediately got to helping us out. The desk staff spent over an hour on hold with the NHS to help establish my "temporary resident" status so that we could even get in to see a doctor. They printed out a map with all of the addresses of the nearby...
We only spent one night here but it was one of our favorite places of the two week trip. The house is very nice, well kept, and comfortable. We stayed in the Rum room, which is spacious and luxurious. Easily one of the nicest rooms we’ve ever stayed in.
The breakfast was great, and the dining room is open and pleasant, and the food was delicious. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful too. Also, the garden and the view are hard to beat.
Would highly recommend!
Beautiful rooms (we stayed in two). Comfortable beds. Desk service was amazing! We received a reservation for a Michelin rated restaurant because of the employee who called for us. Magnificent!!!
This was hands down one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at! Our room was clean, cozy, and full of amenities. Our daily free breakfast was unlike anything we’ve ever experienced so many options and made to order. The dinner was amazing everything was cooked to perfection! The Haggis bon bons are a must try! The staff are incredible, so informative, and so accommodating. This was such a beautiful place, we will definitely be back on our next trip to the highlands.
Had a great stay at Ambers cottage. Check in was smooth, cottage was clean and well equipped. Was not expecting the Four Seasons! Ambers cottage was a lovely get away in Skye - with beautiful vistas, nearby hikes. Hope to return one day.
