"We absolutely loved our stay at Hame on Skye. The property has a lovely casual atmosphere that mirrors the views. Our room was well appointed, breakfasts were fantastic! We had the haggis, Florentine and bean selections, all were equally delicious. The gathering room was cozy and comfortable offering intimate seating and group seating and the view from the restaurant was unmatched! Staff & owners were incredibly friendly and professional."

"Pretty location but unfortunately raining so not able to maximize the outdoor amenities. Food was mediocre but definitely a place where you want to eat because of the remote location and driving the long road in the dark would be challenging"

"Beautiful country manor and grounds but once you turn off the main road, it’s a rough single-track road for quite a bit. Not something I would like to traverse at night driving back and forth into Portree for dinner. But, the good news is there is no need to because the food, both dinner and breakfast, are sublime. Our room on the attic level required a climb up two flights and was a bit small and Spartan but comfortable nevertheless."

Makes lots of noise No one around exceptin the morning for breakfast door entry very hard to unlok and lock Service of the room on demand staff in the morning very nice and helpfull"

"Loch Eyre House is a charming and private bed & breakfast. The fact that it's 7 miles from the traffic of Portree is a big plus-- at Loch Eyre House you have quiet and a beautiful view of Loch Eyre. The guest lounge is a comfortable place to read or play cards if the weather isn't great. Our room had everything we needed, plus a balcony porch with table and chairs. David & Lynn are great communicators who give wonderful advice and make delicious breakfasts. We enjoyed our 4-night stay so much, and we're very glad we chose Loch Eyre House for our base for exploring Skye!"

"Exceptional views and very comfortable accommodation! Only suggestion for the owner would be to fasten the dishwasher unit to the cabinets as it tipped forward every time it was opened. We loved this location- so peaceful and wonderful to be so close to all the sheep and cows!"

"The attention provided by the host was truly exceptional. In addition, the location ( Dunvegan) I chose felt ideal to visit the island (better than Portree in my estimation) . It was also quiet and charming and features a very good restaurant (the Old School-reservations required). All and all, a fantastic 2 day stay."
