"We booked the Bali beach hotel and were surprisingly upgraded to a suite at the meri hotel. Wow!! What a room! The only hotel I can compare it to is the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. The staff, rooms, amenities, food and service were outstanding. Yoga and Thai chi classes were included and the gym was way better than most hotels.
I highly recommend the Meru.

"Absolute 10 out of 10 experience. As a first-time solo traveler to Bali, this hotel was everything I could have asked for. It’s super cute, beautiful, and very clean. The location is incredibly convenient—I booked a few tours with hotel pickup and it made exploring so easy.

"Arrival was great and very smooth, the cool towels and coconut infused water a nice addition. We were only there a night for a layover but managed a nice relax around the pool, walk along the sea front and great breakfast. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the hotel facilities top notch."
"Need better signage in lift to tell what's is on each floor.
Also better communication with room of what's happening each day eg buffet tonight, notice of event should be put into room by cleaner advertising the event
Can take booking, can reuse laminated signals each week to save on recycling
At same time you can have poster size signals in key spot foyer,lifts ,pool bar,entrance of Hotel
All room and poster signs to be reusable and laminated to get maximum life
Cleaner must collect next day after event to maximise life of all material
Hopefully I might get a week accommodation for a great idea

"We have stayed here a couple of times and the staff are helpful and friendly. Rooms are basic but a central location to the ferry and airport. Breakfast is great and the bar is located perfectly for catching up with local friends. Well priced hot value!"
"Before I write this review, I want to emphasize, I was here for 3 days and writing on June 2026.
Please watch out for scams! The rooms are hot and the AC doesnt run without a card and they only give you 1 key which is Rs50000 (not free) so if you leave your room and come back wait for 2 hours for the AC to run well.
At checkout they showed me a picture of an dirt mark on the sheet which was 1cm big (from my toddler) and they said they give us penalty of $20. I asked them, Did you wash your sheet and it didnt go and then you charge me? They said they dont wash them, they expect the guest keep everything clean. What a joke, we slept on dirty bedding for 3 days???? When I told then I am a lawyer and I will take them to court for this, they pleaded “okay okay no charge, no penalty for you”. Hahaha. What a huge scam. Never stepping back in, will not recommend to any foreign traveller who doesnt speak their language.
If you have tolerance for scams that you barely escaped, youll probably give them a 3-4 stars. I am sorry but I dont. I see a scam, I report a scam. Hope a new traveller reads this and learns from our experience. Was ready to give them 4 stars until the checkout experience and learning that they dont clean sheets and will scam you for any dirt on the sheets BEFORE cleaning them (not after!!!!)"
