Learn more about Bayeux
Wander through medieval streets to discover the astonishing Bayeux Tapestry, a 70-meter embroidered comic strip from 1066. The magnificent Notre-Dame Cathedral towers above half-timbered houses that survived WWII intact. After exploring the Museum of the Battle of Normandy, sip local Calvados apple brandy at a café on Place Charles de Gaulle. The Baron Gerard Museum offers artistic treasures in an ancient bishop's palace. Take a short trip to Gold Beach, where Allied forces landed on D-Day. The Bayeux Botanical Garden provides a peaceful retreat when tapestry-gazing has filled your historical quota. Visit in summer to hear the cathedral's stones whisper centuries of Norman tales during the annual light show.

Villa Lara Hôtel
10/10 Excellent
"I stayed in 5 hotels on my 2 week Paris vacation. This was, by far, the most comfortable and prettiest. The staff, from the bellman to the front desk staff to the bartenders were friendly, efficient and very helpful. Additionally the breakfast was wonderful and the hotel decor was gorgeous. Also, a perfect location for someone interested in touring the WWII sites."
Château de Bellefontaine
10/10 Excellent
"The Chamber we stayed in was amazing in size and comfort. The staff was very attentive to our every need. Location to Omaha Beach and other historic site was perfect. We ended up the day walking Bayeux."
Hôtel de Brunville & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"Hotel is close (2km?) to train station, easy walk to bus-stop if you want to go to Juno Beach, Aramanche beaches by local transit. Great location to walk to local sites (tourist info, restaurants, small stores, Cathedral, museums)."
Hotel Le Bayeux
10/10 Excellent
"The Bayeux Hotel in Normandy was excellent! We had a wonderful time and the staff at the front desk were excellent. They were very accommodating and helpful. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast that was a buffet was excellent. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend."
B&B Hotel Bayeux
10/10 Excellent
"Room was very clean. Staff was great. Great breakfast!"
Brit Hotel Caen Nord - Mémorial
10/10 Excellent
"Enjoyed our 2-night stay. Comfortable, clean air conditioned, 3 bedroom accommodation for our family of four. Wonderful breakfast."
Campanile Bayeux
8/10 Good
"Location was excellent, close to railway station and the beautiful town of Bayeux. The room was spacious and very comfortable bed."
Domaine de Bayeux
8/10 Good
"Domaine de Bayeux is a charming property located just a few minutes’ walk from the center of Bayeux. Set on spacious grounds, it combines a beautiful 18th-century main house with two more modern buildings. The staff were warm and welcoming, the breakfast was generous and enjoyable, and the gardens were beautifully maintained and pleasant to relax in. Our room was large, clean, and comfortable, with a small area for making hot drinks. The only drawback was the noise in the main building. Sound carries quite easily, so we could hear guests in neighboring rooms, as well as people on the ground floor during check-in and breakfast. If you are sensitive to noise, I would recommend asking for a room in one of the newer buildings. Overall, a very pleasant and well-located place to stay in Bayeux."
Novotel Bayeux
10/10 Excellent
"Modern, spacious ,clean , good breakfast"
