Located on the Sarasota Bay on Longboat Key, you can dine just feet from the water under a canopy of live oaks entwined with subtle lighting. The restaurant resides in a building built in 1912. Surviving a hurricane in 1921, makes it one of the twelve oldest surviving structures on Longboat Key.

Jewfish Key is a private island that we kayaked around. We saw a couple dolphins playing nearby too, but the main attraction to the public is large sandbar nearby. We rented our kayaks from a place called Kayak Jack's. They were great! You pick a drop-off location and specify a time and your kayaks will be awaiting you, ready for launch! http://www.kayak-jacks.com “You choose the location, We bring the Fun!”

"this past week was our second time staying at Zota. First trip last year was ok but this trip, not so much. The staff here wasn't very pleasant and the hose keepers missed cleaning our room 3 days out of the 7 we stayed there. coffee runs out in the morning and 4 days I notified the staff asking to bring more. idk I feel like resort staff should keep an eye on stuff like coffee in the morning?? decent bang for your buck if your looking to get out on the island but don't except too much from Zota. the valet service on the other hand was top notch! those guys were running around like crazy getting everyone to their vehicles as quickly as possible. too bad the good service ends at their front door..."
