Learn more about Rockport
Lobster boats bob in the harbor while seagulls perform aerial acrobatics worthy of a flight school graduation. Art galleries showcase local talent in this coastal haven that's equal parts working waterfront and creative colony. Pay respects to Andre the Seal, whose bronze statue commemorates the harbor's most famous resident. Kayak around Penobscot Bay's island-dotted waters for perspectives no road can provide. The Center for Maine Contemporary Art offers cultural credentials beyond maritime themes. After gallery-hopping, savor just-caught seafood at harborside restaurants where chefs know boat captains by name. Rockport Marine Park delivers postcard-worthy views that explain why painters have set up easels here for generations.

Camden Riverhouse Hotel
8/10 Good
"The garden, s’mores bar, and breakfast were great. The rooms were clean. It would have been nice to check out a little bit later and unfortunate the pool wasn’t open. Appreciated the staff and convenience to downtown stores and restaurants."
Whitehall
8/10 Good
"Rough parking lot, might as well park on the street in front."
Colonial Gables Oceanfront Village
10/10 Excellent
"Wonderful stay! We will return for sure. Michael M."
Cedar Crest Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Great stay for a great price"
Trade Winds on the Bay
8/10 Good
"When I booked we should of had a small balcony with the obstructed view. I wish I saved the photo that I looked at online when I booked. We ended up in a room with just a window. It was nice to be close to town so we could walk the places to eat. The Lobster Festival is also going on so that was an easy walk also. The rooms are clean."
Harkness Brook Inn
10/10 Excellent
"We really enjoyed our stay at the Harkness Hotel. You can tell this property has been thoughtfully renovated. The room was spotless, the sheets were crisp, and the king bed was incredibly comfortable after a full day of exploring the Maine coast. Our king room faced the back of the hotel, which made it nice and quiet in the evenings for a good night’s sleep. In the morning, we could hear some traffic from Route 1. It wasn’t overwhelming—in fact, it was almost soothing at times, though if you’re a light sleeper it might be a little distracting. The location was perfect—snuggled between Rockport and Camden, making it easy to explore both towns. It was also just a short drive to the local grocery store and within walking distance of American Flatbread Company, which was a nice bonus. The hotel focuses on providing a clean, comfortable stay without unnecessary extras, and it does that very well. If you’re looking for a modern, affordable place to stay while exploring Midcoast Maine, the Harkness Hotel is a great choice. We’d definitely stay here again."
Ledges by the Bay
10/10 Excellent
"We came for the Maine Lobsterfest. Close to Rockport and other cities with cute downtowns. Beautiful views from the balcony of our room."
