Hotels in Mount Vernon

Overall, our stay was wonderful. We stayed one night here. We are a family of 6 (2 adults, 3 teens, one younger child). The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. My only complaint, is that the pictures made the sofa bed look like a double bed. It was only a twin size, which made our sleeping arrangements not as comfortable as I thought they would be.

Nice facility, quick elevators, easy location. Perhaps most impressive was the staff: they were consistently friendly and helpful. To a person, staff members displayed positive attitudes. Someone is doing some excellent management.

My wife, me, and our 12 year old grandson had a very memorable stay at Hyatt Place. As a retired custodian, I found our room impressively clean. The staff were both curious and helpful. I recommend (if available) paying for the underground parking. My grandson and I had a blast swimming in the indoor pool (which I also found extremely clean). Big windows and electric privacy blinds. The view from our room was such a bonus... In addition, after you get settled in your room, I recommend ordering...

Bed was very comfortable and shower was very clean.

We had a corner room that was spacious and quiet. The location is close to everything, and the breakfast was phenomenal!

Our stay was great. The staff forgot to check me in and I had to go back into the hotel to get checked in. The room was great.

Plus: New hotel. Decorations fun and trendy. quiet. clean. HUM?: The shower, while a "trendy" rain shower, was not adequate at getting thick hair wet. although this was a new and clean hotel, there was already rust on things and some of the trim had already fallen off. They will need to work harder to keep the current standard.

Very close to parking, and downtown Iowa City. 1 block from the Englert Theater, so great place to stay for events there. No breakfast included, but just a few steps from great places to eat. Cleverly designed rooms.

Check-in was easy and breakfast was hot and fresh.

In Cedar Rapids for a family event. The Quality Inn was just what we needed, a cozy clean bed at an affordable price.
