The first impression is of the magnificent grounds, and southwestern architecture. Very nice property. Rooms are extra-large. Clean and well maintained. I spent 2-weeks, on business. Every evening upon returning, my room was fresh and clean. I went the entire 2-weeks without a need to come to the desk or ask for service. The free breakfast is a bit weak, so after the first day, eating out was better. Great value, Clean room, oversize too... You will be pleased if your choose the Catalina Inn.
Hotel and rooms were clean. We arrived at 8 pm and upon walking into the lobby there was a sign on the desk that stated “I have stepped away from the desk, I have the phone. Wait 5 minutes then call.” I did and this person on the phone was confused as to why I was calling. When I explained, I was here to check in she was standing outside and I passed her on the way in. In my opinion she should have said hello and welcome if she was an employee. She was not in a uniform or name tag to suggests...
The property was so clean and tiddy; the best older motel i have ever stayed at. Simply the best value i have gotten in years. I was told by another motel they were completly booked up, so all that was left was a B an B or the Blue Mist and they said i should look out of town. I took a chance and booked through Expedia months in advance; turned out to be an excellent choice. I would strongly recomend this little motel.
Stay there for two nights first night no issues second night. Let’s just put it this way. Need to teach people how to have hotel etiquette. People staying above me were extremely rude loud banging kids were just playing till 1130 12 o’clock at night.
First time at this Ritz- Carlton and it was all that the Ritz is known for. The grounds are immaculate, the staff is professional and try to anticipate your every need. The restaurants had some amazing food, even for our "casual' dining preference. The Golf Club at Dove Mountain was in excellent shape...be prepared for some challenging greens.
