"The hotel itself is well kept and has beautiful views of Lake Superior. We loved our stay. Our favorite part was visiting the beach on the hotel property and looking thru the smooth rocks that the water tumbled. The only dislike was how expensive the restaurant was inside the hotel. The dining room could use updating. Good breakfast."

"Jimmie the owner was very friendly and helpful. The air-conditioning work, but we wanted to use fresh air. At first the window stuck but Jimmy’s maintenance person. Jeff was able to come to our room and get them opened right away. The beds were comfortable. The water for taking a shower was as hot as anyone would want it. And there was plenty of it. Jimmy also gave us great recommendation for going out to breakfast or lunch. It was Mike’s Café. They’re open from 8 AM to 2 PM. Great food at great prices. The only maintenance that could be improved on was the sidewalks in the parking lot."

"The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was well looked after also. There were no extras at this motel but we were looking for a decent place to stay on our trip around Lake Superior and this was the best bang for the buck . "
