"The hotel was in a nice quiet area. Two wonderful restaurants next door and close to many shops. If you're comfortable taking the subway to the city center, it's close by. Rooms were modern, large and well air conditioned. For a three star, it's phenomenal."
"There was a grocery shop very close by I found just going for a short walk.
The staff were amazing. Exceptional service and very very pleasant. Management should be very happy with their quality of service"
"Very clean and welcoming. Perfect location. Walks a bit thin. I lost sleep due to neighboring room with a crying baby. Would stay here again for sure."
"We visited on our Honeymoon and we had an amazing time in our upgraded room with large balcony, jacuzzi, sauna, and hamam shower. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We will return to Barcelona just to stay here again!"
"The location i excellent. Walking distance from Maria Cristina Metro Stop who has link to the Barcelona Airport.
Room is clean with comfortable bedding and staff very helpful."
"We had a room on the 14th floor and the views were fantastic. The amenities in the room were great - coffee machine, kettle, complimentary water, bathrobes, etc. The location is away from the hustle and bustle of tourists and the metro station is a bit far. We managed to travel everywhere by buses as there is a stop right outside the hotel. We did not have the breakfast as we prefer a light nibble and just behind the hotel is a cafe called Cafe Blatt which serves excellent food. The staff was...
"Other than low water pressure from a clogged shower head that poured more like a garden spigot, this place was amazing! Great staff, location, value, and most comfortable beds and pillows I’ve found in Spain yet. :-)"
"This is an excellent location & just a few hundred metres from some great restaurants & cafes. It is only 100 metres to the metro and bus stops. The heart of Barcelona is about 2 -3km away & most folks walk this to take in the magnificent buildings and shopping experience"
"hotel's location was very calm and cozy. It wasn't in the center, but close to public transport. Staff were lovely, room was clean and big enough for solo travellers. On my next visit to Barcelona, I will definitely consider staying here again."
"Staff was friendly and helpful. It was in a nice location away from the hustle and bustle. Breakfast was great as well. Our room was cleaned our second day. Really liked the outdoor area, however the door is hard to use once it’s already been closed. I would stay here again and I recommend it to anyone else. "
"It was a good place. Reasonable and beautiful hotel. Very good staff, and the placement was allright for tourists. Everything was just a short taxi ride away."
"Excellent experience. Very friendly and helpful staff. Everyone gave a 5 star service. Olga was very helpful. Clean rooms and very safe neighborhood. Highly recommended. "

This is probably the best Hotel experience in the last year. Nice hotel, staff and amaizing room. Strongly recomeded breakfast. I appreciated the staff attention to the clients, after requesting an extended stay, the answer was simply: no problem!
I will return.
We had a fantastic stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, the neighborhood is quiet, and it's very easy to get to city center. Our room was lovely & spacious, with a large terrace on which we enjoyed the excellent room service breakfast each morning. The staff are friendly, incredibly helpful, & very professional. They speak impeccable English. The spa was also lovely - we made use of the hot tub & pool. We also got massages - the masseuses were great & very nice. The only disappointing part...
I would return to Hotel Upper Diagonal without hesitation and recommend it to any friends traveling to Barcelona. My room was spacious and well appointed with a lovely relaxing view of a pool, trees and the surrounding mountains. Purified water kept me hydrated, my AC worked perfectly, the towels were the fluffiest I've encountered, and the price point was the envy of my fellow travelers who stayed elsewhere in the city. The hotel was a short walk to beautiful parks, Gaudi architecture,...
Cleaned and changed bath towels every day, we appreciated that.
AC unit in each room, great thing, we like it.
Same side of the street at few minutes walk, you have metro station, grocery store and a coffe store for breakfast.
One of the best position for your accomodation you are looking for.
Thank you
The hotel room was beautiful and very clean. The staff was always eager to help and welcoming. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Vincci Mae. It was located near plenty of stores and just a short distance from the city center. The only thing that caught me off guard was that my room came with two twin beds that were pushed together rather than one king or queen bed, which I would've preferred. I didn't complain about that because everything was so amazing and the bed was still comfy.
This is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in outside of North America. I'm very happy that I chose the HG City Suites for my stay in Barcelona.
After I decided not to stay in the City Center I looked for a place outside of that area and after a lot of searching on Google Earth, chose Gracia and the HG City Suites and I'm glad I did. The rooms are spacious (bigger than
many of the rooms in the City Center) and quiet and the kitchen area (with a microwave, fridge and range) was a real...
Diego and Gustavo were so helpful and accommodating. The rooms are simple and cozy but very clean and comfortable. It’s a very safe area and easy for transportation. The elevator and the marble stairs up to the hostal are very Euro - great hostal!
The property was in the hear of Barcelona and within a 10 min walk from a metro station. I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, although it may seem light for those used to heavier breakfasts. The rooms were nice and the complimentary slippers were a nice touch.
I had to check in after hours and the staff provided detailed instructions that I was able to follow. The biggest downside is that there are some nightclubs nearby and their music is audible in the night. I was able to sleep though it,...
While the property could use some updating as far as electrical/electronic connections and bathroom facilities, the manager and her staff were very accommodating and helpful. If you want lavish accommodations, this is not for you.
Excellent hotel away from the hustle of downtown but still close enough to walk if you are in fairly good shape. I walked to Park Guell and Sagrada Familia and back. I probably slept better here then any of the hotels I have stayed in the past month during my trip. Tips - there's an espresso place with great pastries open at 7 am around the corner from the hotel if you are an early riser (the hotel can tell you where), a Trader Joe's style market up the road with food and water, and an excellent...
We arrived hungry and tired!! The girl working the desk was so friendly and helpful!! Not used to restaurants not opening before 8pm but that is not the hotels fault!!!!
The staff is very helpful and the amenities where very clean. They also have water and coffee in the lobby at all times why was convenient. Highly recommend their breakfast.
We are mainly budget travelers ($70-$100 a night) and we both really liked our stay here. First, it is maybe 200 yards from the metro. This stop is the last on it's line, so you are always getting on empty, and 6 stops later is the other end, which is at Las Ramblas, and has many the other connecting lines. Second, the room is spacious so you don't feel cramped. Room has a sofa and chair, queen bed and we had a balcony we ate out on. 3rd, we ordered the breakfast during booking so it is a better...
