Hotels near Zócalo Oaxaca

"An oasis in Oaxaca with the most attentive and friendly staff you can imagine. Both the rooftop and the coffee bar serves 10/10 delicious food and drink from you wake up till you go to sleep. Great selection of Mexican natural wine! Rooms are super spacious, well decorated and feels very private and quiet. Would go back to Oaxaca to stay at this hotel again. Could not recommend more!"

"We've stayed at NaNa Vida on two visits to Oaxaca and appreciate its gracious, helpful staff as well as its airy, spacious, and well-decorated rooms. The hotel is a ten-minute walk to the Zócalo in a quiet neighborhood and near excellent restaurants and craft shops. "

"Casa Sofi is lovely. It’s beautiful and very centrally located. The welcome we received from the manager (Gerardo) was really special. And he was helpful in getting us a 2nd key to our room, and booking a taxi and a tour for us during our stay. We were there for a a week and could walk pretty much anywhere in town. We’d definitely come back to Casa Sofi. "

"Room was very clean and staff was very helpful with getting our luggage to the 2nd floor. Very convenient to the centro."

"Great place to stay, the people are amazing and the hotel is very clean. The location is great and the breakfast at the roof top is espectacular."

"The hotel was clean, the staff were very friendly, and the location was excellent. Especially since it's close to the central area... It was a great location to rest a little with the kids after lunch and then go sightseeing again in the afternoon. Be sure to try Welcome House Mix at Mantis Bar. You will fall deeply in love with mezcal's charm. It's hard to go on a date when traveling with children, but it's a great place for couples to have cocktails for a while. The taco place next to the...

"I come to Oaxaca once a year and it is hard to stay somewhere else as the hotel is a gem in itself but the ALL the staff goes above and beyond to help everyone feel welcomed and safe. I highly recommend it."

"The hotel is beautiful, the beds were super comfortable, we had 2 rooms and brought our dog. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating, hotel is only a few blocks away from the main plaza/zocalo. We can’t wait to be back. Thank you Ceci and everyone in the staff for taking such a good care of us."

"Recently built, centric location. Walking distance to Zocalo, Templo Santo Domingo, and markets. Excellent staff, especially Ivan, very helpful."

"Delicious breakfast, kind and welcoming staff, and the pool is such a game changer when visiting warm and lovely Oaxaca. The location can't be beat, which might mean some parades passing under your window in the late afternoon, but that's why you're in Oaxaca anyway!"

"The hotel was in an incredible location right by the Zocalo and was in an old rustic building. The room had all the amenities we needed and even had a small terrace looking out on the street allowing us to hear the music outside. Additionally, the staff was very helpful and kind. Overall it was a wonderful stay!"

"Awesome location. Loved Oaxaca. "

"friendly staff and excellent location the hotel room is muy bonito!!"

"Clean and comfy. Easy check in"

"We really liked the privacy of the stay. It was a block away from the zócalo and cathedral. It was very clean and accommodating. Really want to send a big thank you to Liz, who helped us with directions and suggestions during our 2 week stay."

"We had a nice stay at this property, and the host was very kind and accommodating. The location is perfect! The Zócalo is only a few minutes walk away. It's walking distance to other museums, Michelin restaurants, and native, Oaxacan cuisine. Taxis come by every 2 mins. and there are several cafes almost nextdoor. We had the one bedroom apartment with two extra beds and sofa. The apartment is turnkey and has streaming services like Netflix, Disney and Prime. Cleaning comes in everyday if you...

"Beautiful and central. The attached restaurant serves nice breakfast and drinks. Relatively quiet for being so central"

"My family & I enjoyed our stay here. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The food was delicious. Very clean & spacious rooms. Approximately, half mile from the plaza and great restaurants and another half mile on 20 de Noviembre to the San Benito Market for great shopping and the 20 de Noviembre Market for great food. It helps to speak Spanish. Credit Cards are welcome, but Mexican pesos are needed for tips & small purchases. Have fun & enjoy!"

"Great location for a hostel walking distance to all major sights. Staff are super friendly and helpful, and although I thought that the fan was going to be noisy, I fell asleep very easy and comfortable. The hostel does have some leaks on the roof as the rain was causing some water puddles on the ground floor. Also the shower is not compatible with short people. But would recommend the place for socializing and fair prices. "
