"We had an amazing stay! When we arrived, our rooms had actually been canceled because of an issue with the booking app, but the front desk clerk was so amazing. They helped us get into rooms so quickly we didn’t even have time to stress—seriously top-tier customer service! The rooms were clean, a really nice size, and very comfortable. The beds were super cozy! I would’ve loved slightly heavier blankets, but it wasn’t a big deal for us. I do hope in the future they add a complimentary breakfast or even a kitchen option. Overall, this hotel is definitely at the top of our list—we will absolutely be staying again when we visit Virginia! "

"Do not believe the fake 10/10 reviews. Read through the 2/10 reviews. They are spot on. The room was disgusting. Filthy bathroom, filthy bathtub, huge blood stain on the mattress under the mattress pad, food on the floor between the bed and the nightstand. We didn’t even takeoff our jackets, we got out of there immediately and drove 2 1/2 hours home. I will never believe Expedia ratings again, without digging in to individual reviews. So many red flags at check-in: A very thorough review of the rules, had a television red light District Motel feel to it. The outside looks like a scene from a horror movie. Expedia is trying to get a refund which I think is unlikely, based on the other feedback. I just wish Expedia would remove the fake reviews so tired travelers understand what a horror show this hotel is. Be warned! Do not stay here!"

"This property looked and felt tired. Kind of like a hotel that wants to be a luxury hotel ... but hasn't figured it out or shared that with their employees. The bathroom was dirty with scuff marks on the door and shower and literal dirt in the corners. Peeling wallpaper. The bed's top sheet had a foot-long tear right at the top. That was fun. Housekeeping was hit or miss. We finally had to ask for our room to be serviced. And they were the stingiest hotel I've ever seen for leaving towels and washcloths. One per guest, which is problematic if you spend the day sweaty outdoors and want to refresh before dinner. (I will not re-use a washcloth.) Plus, there was very little place to put your clothes. My wife and I were there for a week and there weren't enough hangers for even her clothes. I had to spread my shirts out of the couch. Plus, there was no bureau or chest of drawers to put your other clothes in so we had stuff in our suitcases all week. There was a neat electric tea pot in the room ... but not once during the week did they leave any cups. They have a rec area with a pool table but ... and this is kind of indicative of the rest of the property ... the table felt was coming loose and the three cues were useless: two didn't have tips and the remaining cue was split in the shaft. Do you need a pool table at a hotel? No. Not at all. But if they do offer one, it should at least be in decent shape. Bottom line: There are definitely cleaner, more modern hotel in RVA. "

"Our room was gorgeous! It was quiet and we needed that. The staff was friendly. We ate dinner at the restaurant and received excellent service. We will definitely be back again!"
