The Linton Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The room was small but very comfortable, had everything you needed for a short stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent"
Ednam House Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The property was stunning, the staff were very friendly and the meals were delicious."
Newcastle Arms Hotel
8/10 Good
"Perfect location for our trip. Onsite parking available. Breakfast was really tasty and obviously freshly made. Staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly."
The White Swan Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Yet another stay here and as always a very nice experience. Very central and really nice food."
The Law
8/10 Good
"This was a stop over on the way to a holiday further north in Scotland. The bed was comfortable and the staff friendly. The rooms and bathrooms are a little tired but perfectly functional. One of our rooms was to the front of the hotel opposite the local supermarket and cash point (the cashpoint is regularly used and weirdly noisy) - the supermarket opens early - if you are a light sleeper the noise will wake you up. Interestingly we booked 2 rooms at the same price and they differed massively in terms of space and bathroom size - one was certainly worth more than the other. All in all it was a comfortable stay with friendly staff and a very hearty breakfast included. I probably wouldn't stay again as the price is on the high side for what it offers,"
Open Arms Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Gorgeous lobby. Lovely setting. Good breakfast. Pleasant hosts. Until we got to the room. The room was tiny. Like, a little bigger than a walk-in closet kind of tiny. We needed to walk sideways to cross the room. The room was also very spartan with few frills to speak of. We were there for one night so it was all we needed."
Pine Marten, Dunbar by Marston's Inns
10/10 Excellent
"Friendly staff, clean rooms , comfortable beds and air con. We had a great stay"
Tweeddale Arms Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely little place. Staff are really friendly and the food was phenomenal. Wi-Fi was a bit sketchy but that was the only very small issue. Plenty of parking available on the street outside and I was able to park my bus there no problem. Will definitely be back again"
The Lodge at Craigielaw
10/10 Excellent
"Both of the ladies (Shirley) and ( I forgot her name) at the front desk greeted us with a smile and genuinely very very helpful and made us feel like we were family. The breakfast was very good and hearty! The gents in the pro shop were first class and were very knowledgeable ! I hope to be back!"
