Valletta is known for its museums and waterfront, and entices visitors with popular attractions including Grand Masters Palace and Merchant Street Market.
If you’re after a show while in the center of Valletta, you might want to get tickets at Malta Experience. Why not take a stroll along the marina and watch the sunset while you're here? If you enjoy the show and want to see another, Manoel Theatre, Knights Spectacular 1565, and Malta5D are all a short walk away.
If you can't wait to get to the beach, you might enjoy a trip to St George's Beach located 0.6 mi (0.9 km) from central St. Julian's. If you want to continue walking by the waves, head to Exiles Beach located nearby.
If you're planning a bit of sightseeing during your trip, head to Sliema Promenade— just one of the landmarks located 0.5 mi (0.8 km) from central Sliema. Hotels.com travelers also say the area is full of friendly people and has lots of nice beaches. It's also full of great shops and restaurants, so you can spend the afternoon having a wander.
"Overall the hotel was great. Its in an excellent location with beautiful surroundings. The hotel is clean, air-con great and restaurants and bar excellent. We particularly liked thee rooftop restaurant. The hotel's layout is a little difficult to navigate at first, but with a bit of trial & error you get use to it. The main negative for me was the quality of the Wifi which i found to be quite poor - this is quite a surprise given how good everything else is, but i kept having to switch to my phone data as the wifi was either too slow or kept cutting out, this for me was disappointment"
"We spent a week at the property for our visit to Malta. The property is very large, well-maintained, and provides every service you could ever ask for. We found the entire staff to be incredibly helpful and friendly, especially the breakfast host Henri and our favorite poolside server Sera. The breakfast buffet and lunch/dinner restaurant choices were amazing. You don't need to leave the property for anything if you don't want to. The property is very kid-friendly in every aspect. I felt there was only slight room for improvement in some minor maintenance or remodeling. My key highlights of the property were: friendly staff, location, ocean view, amenities, pool complex, and dining selection."
"We stayed for 9 nights at the 1926 Le Soleil Hotel. It was clean and comfortable although our room was a bit small with limited storage, the bed was comfortable and the room quiet. The hotel was centrally located and a short walk to the beach where the swimming in the Harbor was clean, warm and amazing. The ajoining beach club was fun as well. We dined at the waterfront Le Vie restaurant where the atmosphere and views were great as was the delcious food.
We used the well equiped gym and spa. Both were clean and pleasant.
Overall it was a great experience."
"A lovely large hotel near St Georges Bay in Malta, with several swimming pools backing on to a rocky shoreline.
There are excellent views toward the Sliema coastline and the Dragonara palace, and it is a short walk to Bay Street and shops."
