"What a gem this hotel was. It was a bit of a lucky find but glad we found it. Rooms were modern but had a rustic vibe. Room was also very spacious with a lot of room to move about. Very nice porch as well with a lovely babbling brook right outside the door. The only drawback was the 2 skylights that let in dawns light at 6am every morning, hence the 3 stars on comfort. We got used to it but it would be nice to have something set up to shade the light. We also liked easy access to extra towels...

"Lodge was cozy and lodge staff was friendly. Oak Steakhouse (on property restaurant) was tasty, but one of the bartenders was kinda crappy. We were ignored for several minutes standing at the bar, and finally another bartender asked this one to help us. He didn’t seem to want to but did begrudgingly. Well, he completely screwed up our to go order so in hindsight he completely ignored everything I said. Sad, really, that this one moment left the impression it did. Cause everything and everyone...
