"The Royal Standard has modern newly refurbished rooms over the pub. These are surprisingly quiet and comfortable. We had a friendly welcome and slept very well. Good bathroom and comfortable bed and a really tasty breakfast to follow. We would definitely stay here again, particularly given the very convenient car park at the back."

The rooms are well-provided with lovely toiletries and home comforts and the breakfast is varied and delicious! Beautiful location by the river, lovely bar with great garden serving Pizzas on the Friday night from the garden container but a lovely restaurant too (we ate there and it was delicious food). The rooms are lovely and modern & very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful and all in all a fantastic and reasonable priced stay. We will definitely return if we are in the area again! 5*"
