"Only stayed one night for a nearby wedding. Alison was massively helpful due to a number of guests staying there but not having time to collect room keys during the day. Very accommodating. Rooms were neat and clean, warm and comfortable. Breakfast choice of continental and cooked. All the staff were cheery and helpful."

"A stay built around our dogs proved to be perfect. Great friendly atmosphere and top quality produce in the meals and breakfasts. Very thoughtfully provided an information sheet of village walks for the dogs also spare bowls , towels and treats. The evening meal menu was very appealing and the dog menus were a lovely touch. The room was a decent size with all conveniences and a very fluffy bed. Definitely recommended for travels with your favourite furry friends so that’s 5 stars from us."

"Excellent hotel with very good rooms, quiet location on the edge of a large park. Plenty of parking and off beaten track so secure in that respect. Nice restaurant with varied menu choices; breakfast excellent. Staff welcoming and very helpful. I would definitely use this again in preference to others closer to or in the town but really need car to access."

"Ca 10-15 min taxi ride from the Swindon Railway Station; can be reached via bus. Clean, spacious, and well-maintained room; electronic kettle and teabags/instant coffee very helpful. Very friendly and capable staff; quick check-in. Hotel lobby tastefully decorated."

"Clean rooms in ‘family’ room- bathroom small but with everything needed. Parking not always available as the Inn is popular but free parking for residents."

"A great place full of character. The evening meal and breakfast was outstanding and the staff were particularly friendly and helpful. If you want a taste of the Cotswolds without all the hype and commercialism then the New Inn and Lechlade are worth a visit."
