"The hotel is full of character. The staff are pleasant and the bar and restaurant area is lovely. Breakfast is lovely and fully. The restaurant is nice and the food offered is really good. The rooms are good. The bathroom could do with additional shelving space, the shower is powerful but the shower knob can be difficult to turn and grip."

"We needed a place close to Stoke for an event we were all attending with friends. This place was perfect for the 6 of us that stayed there. The hours is very large, with a large kitchen and all amenities. We did not use the TV, so unsure of that function and options. It was nice to have 2 full bathrooms. There is a large fenced back yard where kids could play."

"Perfect place to relax and unwind. Cottage is set in a beautiful location with great views. Owners go extra mile to provide comfort. Extremely clean and well maintained."

"The staff and the breakfast were amazing however the rooms have no shampoo (body wash is not going to do it for me), no lotion, no tissues and no phone. No phone makes it extremely difficult for overseas visitors to contact reception. Even the charming lady on reception who confirmed that these amenities were not offered in the hotel states that they were a budget hotel ‘but maybe not - we are quite expensive’. "

"We had a lovely stay, easy to find with nice touches of bread jam cereal and eggs. Would like a bedside lamp to be able to read and a small hoover or broom as we were staying a week .but apart from that couldn’t fault it at all, lovely to meet the owners who were helpful and friendly . Huge comfy bed and nice to be able to do the washing as the weather wasn’t good "
