TV had no remote and had to call to get a remote on arrival. Was informed on arrival that sauna and steam was inaccessible due to renovation. "This is in a Nepal village, very different from Kathmandu. The staff was excellent, we had a guide, Nabin, who was also excellent - shared lots of information, pointed out lical flora and told us about the local customs. Truly enjoyed our visit."

"This hotel is very close to the Shiva statue and also offers vegetarian dishes. The rooms are spacious and very clean, and they include a terrace, making it perfect for meditation and pilgrimage. The staff are very polite and eager to help. Therefore, I will definitely return next time."

"This was the perfect resort to stay in post our Everest Base Camp trek. The rooms were very comfortable and the shower was hot. We received excellent service from the restaurant staff, the spa services were high quality and the pool and hot tub were very relaxing. All in all we loved our stay at the Terraces and would recommend this as a great get-away from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu / Thamel. Note that the road to the resort is steep and windy and I would recommend booking the transfer...

"The staff at this traditional hotel are very helpful, and the breakfast is delicious. It is also very close to Durbar Square. Therefore, if you are on a budget, I highly recommend staying at this hotel. You can have lunch and dinner at a restaurant nearby on the left side of the hotel, making it very convenient. In the early morning, you can enjoy the sunrise and the snow-capped mountains from the rooftop terrace. I strongly recommend it."

We were given a traditional Newari welcome, and tour of the property, and found the staff very helpful with tips and suggestions about Bhaktapur and the surrounding area.
