We spent 2 nights at the Plataran Heritage Borobudur Hotel and loved it! It was a convenient place to stay for a morning Borobudur Temple tour (only ~15 min to the temple by Grab taxi). The entire property was lovely - from the spacious rooms to the beautiful gardens surrounding it. Staff were very welcoming and always helpful when we had questions. Overall, I'd highly recommend it!

I traveled to central Java as a solo female to run Borobudur marathon. I stayed at Atria one week straight, two times in June & Juli. At both times I got the same room with Mountain View on the 10th floor. It left amazing to wake up each morning and see not just one, but 3 mountains right outside the window. So peaceful. The room is basic but clean. Bathroom is also very basic, You get everything you need for your stay, but just like other reviewer, I wish Atria provided a hand towel. That seems to be something that is missing from a star hotel. Breakfast is the best. Not many restaurants around but there is room service. Hot water is not always on. Air conditions is not as cold in some rooms. Staff is very kind.

The tranquility of the hotel was felt immediately from the time of our arrival at the reception area. The gardens and common areas felt secluded but welcoming. The fountain and koi pond, statuary and landscaping felt as though I was a guest at a lovely private estate in Java or Bali. The staff was very willing to accommodate any request. I had a little issue with the sink...The staff was very kind and efficient and offered to change the room. The pool is great after a warm day. Very pratical to have the restaurant option on site. You are less than 10 min walk from Borobudur...

This is a great hotel to stay at when you plan to visit Borobudur. We had a wonderful room with a view of the mountain and river. It was very quiet and peaceful. The staff was nice and friendly. They provided a good variety of food for breakfast. Nice big pools for adults and children. Easy to get to Artos Mall which has a nice food court, KFC and Bread Talk. There are a lot of good local restaurants in Magelang. Our favorites were Pringgading and AA. It is easy to get around, the hotel...
