County Offaly Hotels

Simply fantastic. The staff and accomodations were excellent, and we so appreciated receiving a very kind complimentary room upgrade to celebrate our anniversary. The history of the castle and surrounding land is fascinating and steeped in lore, and we enjoyed learning more about this this very special part of the heart of Ireland.

Great spot!

Staff was absolutely great. Food was as well. I stayed here for 5 nights but traveled 1800 kilometers around Ireland looking at property for my new home with Dooley’s as home base each night as it’s centrally located. It was perfect and I would stay there anytime.

Coming from the states with extensive travel experience, I can say that it is shocking to have a hotel where every feature feels like the main feature. The restaurants and bar are self sufficient - they do not seem to need the hotel to exist, very uncommon in my experience. In fact, it was clear that there were regular customers there, making me feel very at home. To that point, the staff was extremely courteous and informative of local events.

Wonderful quaint hotel. I was enjoying a beer after work and a Christmas party broke out. Santa, kid choir, snow outside, parents, grandparents were all enjoying the festivities.

We loved our visit to Lough Bawn and the beautiful grounds surrounding. We thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with owner Verity and the breakfast was delicious. We recommend this to anyone considering a peaceful visit in the area. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Pros: Very clean Staff was very friendly and helpful Great location, near downtown and park Good breakfast options cooked to order Appropriate parking lot for number of rooms Cons: None

We stayed in one of the lovely cottages .It was finished to a high standard, great kitchen ,bathroom and bedroom.Wifi was good. The owners kindly placed jams, butter, eggs, milk and bread there for us.Property is on a farm.Local TV available or streaming services if you have an account you can log on to.A nice location on R161 south of Trim

Very friendly owner, easy parking, and beautiful rooms! Check out the firecastle shop right next door - the YUMMIEST focaccia!

We had a two day wonderful visit! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The food was outstanding! The drinks were excellent! The service and room conditions…... Everything was impeccable! Had a wonderful visit to the spa. It was great! This is a must visit on your travel list!

Polite and accommodating staff. Grounds are absolutely beautiful for golfers or families, alike. 20 minutes away from Mullingar and 5 minutes from Tyrrellspass, with shopping, pubs, historical sites (Belvedere, Lake Ennell) nearby. Spacious rooms allow for plenty of room to spread out and enjoy some privacy. Close to all highways to get you where you need to go. Highly recommend for those looking for a taste of Ireland with modern amenities.

Roomy comfortable, centrally located. Free parking out back is a little difficult to find but convenient. Best if all just walk down the stairs for a creamy pint.

Just overall wonderful hotel. Helpful staff, beautiful decor, extremely clean and comfortable, good food in dining room.

You couldn’t ask for better it was excellent.

Very nice and clean room!

Very convenient location to walk into town. But of a maze with the elevators, but a great hotel stay for sure
