"Absolutely wonderful! Our room and terrace were stunning, immaculately clean, spacious and had every luxury we could wish for. The staff were all amazing; and the 5 euro breakfast is incredible value for money. We had fresh orange juice, coffee, bread, croissants and cake too! "

"This hotels gets the big things but fail on the small. Grand hotel, great beach, beautiful rooms, great breakfast, but as others note, you pay 25 to park for a day, in fact more if you use the car because payment is per hours capped at 25. We asked for iron. No. Not possible. Leave with staff and they will iron, I guess tomorrow.. and do on."

"The staff were exceptional and always so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ample and delicious and the breakfast staff also extremely friendly. Beds extremely comfortable and rooms extremely quiet. Slightly out of town (about 15 minutes) but I liked walking to town and back along the waterfront after dinner. Going to the islands was extremely close - just down the hill. Great stay!!"

"Our very first hotel stay on our italy trip. A lovely hotel on a tiny island with a very good restaurant. Staff were very pleasent, the room was so quiet except when open to the balcony...the sound of lapping waves...so relaxing. It poured while we were there so we weren't in a rush to get out and about. The rain stopped in the afternoon so we ventured out. It felt like we had the whole island to ourselves. Not much open, but the weather made for a dramatic backdop. We got to see the...

"wir hatten 2 Nächte gebucht mussten aber wegen Krankheit eine stornieren lassen. Dass kostete uns trotz Zeiteinhaltung dann noch 20€.-Aber egal! Das zimmer war sehr schön und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Bad geräumig, in neu renoviertem Zustand. .Alter solider Bau und daher ohne NEBEN-Geräusche. Das einzige ist für längeren Aufenthalt, dass es nur sehr wenig Tagesliccht rein lässt. Der See mit Badestrand(öffentlich) ist ca. 100m Fussweg. Wir werden wieder hinfahren für kurze Aufenthalte."

The apartment is large and spacious, apartment and gardens are kept immaculately clean by the staff. After each day out we came back to find our apartment cleaned with fresh towels and bed linen. "This is one of our favorite hotels in the world. It is Old-World glam, and was a favorite of Ernest Hemingway's. The dining and hospitality are wonderful. We also love the sweet town of Stressa, set on Lago Maggiore. We went Baromee island hopping to beat the heat. The ferry stop was a few minutes stroll from the Hotel. Was all in all an unforgettable experience - and our second time there. We willbe back! ."
