nice stay, friendly staff, terrific breakfast highly recommend

My husband and I have never stayed at a B&B. We were looking for a nearby weekend get-away and found The Centennial House on an on-line search. The Hosts Joan & Steve were very hospitable and knowledgable of the area and it's history and attractions. The surrounding area, the room and the breakfast were beautiful, comfortable and delicious!! This was a unique experience for me. It was like having a nice room in a log cabin. It was very quiet and peaceful right off the winding country road sitting in front of a forest with a beautiful outlook from the dining area. There was good self serve beverage options available when I arrived in the late evening and breakfast the next morning had enough quality items for a gluten free person like myself. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay at the four columns. Our room was beautiful as are the grounds. The end is surrounded by well keptGardens with lovely flowers and there are lots of places to sit outside and enjoy them. Staff was gracious. The property is very well maintained and decorated. The room and bathroom are very clean. It has two very nice common area with 2 big windows that made them bright and sunny and cozy. It's also along a major highway so it's easy to find. The owners/operators of this hotel are very kind, thoughtful and accomodating to the needs of their guests. Beautiful Vermont Inn with exceptional breakfast: changes everyday - we had frittata, fresh fruit, steel cut oats fried with maple syrup and pecans and always muffins or other baked goods. Really lovely. Innkeepers are friendly and the property has a smaller number of rooms so is quite peaceful. My 10 year old son really enjoyed the quiet and the multitude of board games. Charlie even had all the cars cleared of snow the morning after a big snowfall. Will be back for sure!!

It was a perfect stay. The room was clean, the view beautiful and the breakfast was wonderful. I wish e could have stayed longer!

The cabin and grounds are well-maintained. The pool was crystal clear and the slide was a nice addition. Gorgeous views!

The rooms were spotless. Max, the manager, was very friendly and helpful. The location was great and the amenities were everything we needed. The only thing I would have changed would have been blackout curtains.

Quaint inn close to downtown Wilmington. Extremely friendly staff and DELICIOUS breakfast! Will definitely return!
