Thrilled to have stumbled upon this gem. Two blocks from the Carlton hotel, close to restaurants on dizengoff st. 30 minute walk to nahalat binyamin. Great price. Will stay here again!

Pros: Room: Nice sized & bright room. Bed was comfortable, linens were soft. Location: Great location!! The hotel is very central, 5 minutes walking distance to the beach and many great restaurants. Many compliments to the staff. The best breakfast feast of all my touring. I think the chef is a Russian mama who loves to cook! Clean and quaint hotel in a great art district with Jewish, Muslim, and Christian communities.

The location was very good, close to shops, restaurants and a very nice place.The room was small but very confortable. The breakfast is a la carte and very varied and good.

The Shenkin is within walking distance to the beach, restaurants and great shopping. The staff was warm, friendly and very helpful in making our tour reservations to Golan Heights and making sure our needs were met. Since our tour left very early in the morning, they packed breakfast for us to take on our trip. The garden cafe was a nice place for refreshments and relaxing after a day of exploring the city.

Incredibly friendly staff, and very warm welcome! There are only two things I would note: - I was unaware there was no elevator at this property. While it was not necessarily a major inconvenience, I was placed on the top floor and had to carry my luggage up 4 flights of stairs to my room. - The signage outside the property could use some improvements, it is somewhat hidden off the road (especially since the reception is in a separate building from the hotel units. Even though we arrived early, the staff accommodated our luggage, and gave us beach towels, access to the gym and food recommendations while we waited. Once in our room, they easily handled a room upgrade, which we did to allow room for an overnight guest. Service was always quick with a smile. They even had Thanksgiving treats in the lobby.

One thing that would move this hotel up on the scale was the power in the room. When you leave, the motion detector shuts the air off and some of the outlets. There is a work around for this problem, but then you have to decline housekeeping service. Other than that, I like it there and would stay there again. Nearly everyone was very nice and helpful.

Ultra Hotel Tel Aviv only opened two weeks ago. They clearly spent a lot of money renovating old office space (two floors on the "Isrotel" pedestal. Only a few steps to the main Tel Aviv beach. It is also across the street from the US embassy and down the street from the Russian and Indian embassies. My room was tiny but the use of space was maximized. Breakfast, which was included with my rate, was far more than 'sufficient' with the usual Israeli fare plus made-to order eggs with table...

Peter greeted my group with a very big welcome and smile, made us feel at home. We had a very small issue with our laundry but, the manager Talia Yedid-levi was very accommodating and fully refunded the fee for our laundry. We will be recommending this hotel to our friends and family at home and will definitely return.
