Great villa with fully modern amenities, clean and well kept. Beautiful home and very good location not far from the 4 mile beach and even 10-15 minutes from the main marina for Quicksilver and food area! By far my best hotel stay in my life.

The place is lovely and very well located, but it is an apartment, not a hotel. We didn't get cleaning service for our three day stay. On the other hand, there is a fully stocked kitchen.

Awesome spot with great food and great coffee. We stayed in the train car and loved it. Staff was so friendly. Beach is gorgeous and so close. Live music every night. We loved it!

Our family of 4 stayed 5 nights ina 2 br. The apartments are spacious, nicely decorated and very well equipped. Every little comfort is thought of to make your stay pleasant. We appreciated the washer and dryer in the room. We truly loved eating breakfast on the verandah every morning while watching all the birds. Excellent stay all around! The owners were extremely friendly and helpful, answering all my questions and helping book tours. The facilities were all clean and comfortable, and it was a perfect place to stay in Port Douglas.

Perfect for what we wanted, great location

Great property that is small and personable! They seem to have thought of it all as far as things to use at their facility. They have bikes, movies, games, umbrellas, beach chairs, games, towels and so much more. We just weren't there ling enough to us it all. They are also an easy walk to the beach, shopping, and a ton of restaurants.

Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Great location, within walking distance of main center and port, yet far enough away to be peaceful. On-site laundry, parking, outdoor kitchen area by pool - all great. Definitely recommend to guests who enjoy genuine hospitality in a low-key environment.

We had a great stay here to wrap up a month of traveling. It was quiet, and great location near shopping, restaurants, and the beach. Robin and Sonya, the hosts, were extremely helpful and all around great! Highly recommend!

Unique property with canvas sides, outside kitchen and bathroom. Gorgeous hikes to swimming holes and through rainforest to the beach as well as many others.

Hotel rated good to excellent in all things

My fiancé and I went here with minimal expectations, just looking for a getaway with close access to the Great Barrier Reef. This resort was beyond accommodating. The surpassed our expectations with amazing food, drinks, and service. They also provided us with transport to and from most any location and recommended awesome activities and onsite nature walks!

We stayed for three nights over the Christmas holidays, the height of summer. We loved this resort, and our villa was amazing. Our daughter lived in the pool while my husband and I tried to get cool in the AC. Our complaints are similar to others here... the villa wasn't super clean when we checked in. It really just needed to be refreshed and swept. There were a lot of cobwebs and spiders/spider dirt in the corners and the floors were dirty. The property is spotless and ideally situated. Manager Paul is incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring our stay is enjoyable. In addition, the villa dog, Bruce, is so lovely and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed playing with him.

Shantara was a wonderful place to stay. It was a short walk to Macrossan St for restaurants and shops

We had an incredible time at the Daintree Ecolodge! Our family reunited from different parts of the US to visit the Daintree area. The Daintree Ecolodge was a standout experience! Rob was so incredibly helpful as was the rest of the staff. The rooms were beautiful, nestled right into the forest. What a magical place. The food was amazing. Breakfast was soo good and we also had the dinner during our stay which was a highlight for all of us with a varied and delicious menu. Our family loved this...
