"We spent a great stay until the check out, we leaved the hotel with no issues and just after I got home I received a notification from my bank that I had been charged for $ 75 dollars by the hotel, I called to the front desk for a clarification and the hotel employee told me it was because a damage on my room, I rejected that argument and asked for proof, he asked me to call back next day to talk to the manager. Next day I called and spoke with another employee, she told me the damage was on a “art painting” in the room, I explained her we did not touch it, how could I damage it being me, my wife and my son behaved adults, I asked again for proof of the damage, she sent me a picture of the painting damage. I felt very frustrated because the damage was an intent to clean the painting with a chemical product, so I wrote an email to Front desk asking to investigate who else damaged the painting because it does make sense at all I would spray a chemical product on it in my stay, it was ridiculous, also I asked to reconsider the unlawful charged. As of today, I have not received any response after 10 days. I have decided to stop pursuing my claim because the Kompose front desk/manager attitude, I think that the unlawful charge may be for two reasons; hotel cleaning staff cause the damage and did not own the responsibility, or the hotel does unfounded charges, which cannot believe happen in this hotel class. This unlawful practice convert a nice stay into a terrible experience."
