"I was very upset about the gym situation. Each time I went to the gym it was closed. I stayed for 4 nights and continuously had to ask about the health club and each time there was an issue as to why it wasn’t open. Also, the pictures do not do justice to the health club. There is no free weight area. Just 2 treadmills and an Olympical. Secondly, my bathroom faucet in the shower was coming apart even after I noticed that the cocking job was done poorly. The room was spacious but our AC was not working properly. The room always felt humid and warm even at max AC power. The windows also do not open. Maybe we just got a bad room but I was very disappointed given the decent reviews. The house keeping staff was fantastic. The best part of my stay was the woman assigned to our room. She was polite, always made sure we had water and kept our room neat. Location wise, it was okay. There are food options close to the hotel and it’s about 10 minute walk to the subway station. "

"Good location. However the room is very old and dark. The bed and pillow is too soft. Overall is old,amenities and toilet is not in good condition. The hotel should start renovating to attract more tourist stay. Breakfast so-so"

"Mid range hotel located in the Hutongs. Good value restaurant for dinner and complimentary breakfast more than adequate. Staff are friendly and speak varying levels of English so be prepared to use a translation app. I had booked a non smoking room but it was clear when I arrived that a previous guest had been smoking in it. The hotel did provide an air purifier and after 24hrs the situation was much improved. That said there were people smoking in the corridor on the floor I was staying on. Aside from that the room was comfortable with all the usual amenities."

"Great location! Close to station and wangfujing shopping area. Very clean, and good view from our window, great size room too ! The only downside was, need more staff that speak better English! The only people that speak good English was the reception. Breakfast was good for me but there’s no English breakfast for my British husband. Big bed but a bit too hard for us, and aircon need to be colder."

"The hotel itself was generally as expected. Our room did not have a rainforest shower that appears to be missing as there was a toggle to switch between the regular shower head and rainforest shower. The clean up each day varied in effort which wasn’t great. Got extra pillows when asked for it so that’s good. The best thing about the hotel is its proximity to stuff like the palace museum and Tiananmen Square. Also close to Wangfujing st."
