"The Sofitel is perfectly located in the heart of the city adjacent to the Nile. The entertainment is such that you don't have to leave your hotel if you choose not too. The views of the Nile and sunset are perfect from the 3rd floor. The sunken tub is a dream after a long day of exploring the city. I would highly recommend and will stay here again."

"The food is terrible with very limited options. I asked for juice but they didn’t have it for breakfast. Asked for water instead but I was charged for it. TV cable never worked, although I asked repeatedly for it to be fixed. Internet was not working half of my stay. Hand soap in the bathroom was watered down. You get what you paid for basically!!!"

We had a room overlooking the suburb not the Nile which was quiet. Mahmoud and others at breakfast service served us well. Clean hotel and more discreet and quiet than other hotels we have used in Cairo. Ideal for visiting AUC."

"Too old hotel. It was interesting to see. It must be a great place long time ago but with no renovation, facilities go down. Staff was nice but time to renovate. Maybe it is the case for entire Cairo. View from the balcony was great. Breakfast was fine. "

"They are scammers but I am sure the owner doesn’t know about the silly fake marketing photos never match the information they advertise photos with livingroom and when you pay you come for the check in they want give only signal room without livingroom which is very an fare they can wasting your day arguing to pay more for the livingroom and they sale the rooms with livingroom very bad experience I am not recommending there is one lady works she is very rude on the phone and she lie all the time...
