"The staff are absolutely fantastic - friendly, helpful, etc. The location is central/great - easy to get everywhere you need to - and the rooms are quiet. The hotel itself has some “new hotel” kinks to iron out but also understandable as it’s on a remote island - ran out of propane so not hot water, but with it being so hot outside it wasn’t a concern for us. "The room we got at El Encanto was really nice, especially for the price. This is not a luxury room, but it was clean and comfortable and cute. We got what I think is called the Deluxe room--it's two stories (second story is kind of a loft). There were two double beds and two twin beds in our room, with varying degrees of firmness. "Awesome location, directly across the street from the beach. No AC in main part of house. AC ran great in all bedrooms. Hot tub was not operational, and there was not toilet seat on one of the toilets. Manager said owner was shipping one from US, but never arrived. No daily housekeeping, refrigerator did not get or stay cold. And taxis we arranged for pick up to leave, never arrived. We were allotted one towel per person, and had to ask to get them changed out. "Loved the location. Two blocks from the beach. Nice pool simple breakfast but The chilaquiles were good. One thing I would have liked is if the had mirrors other than the one above the restroom sink. Especially being have to share with my daughter, it made it a bit time consuming. Oh a better shower curtain system, just an idea to protect the wooden door. Everything else was amazing"

"As a solo senior-ish male traveler, I stayed here four nights and it offered everything I needed. It was close to the beach and plenty of bars and restaurants and markets, etc., but also just far enough away to be quiet. The room was great and I enjoyed cooling off in the pool after being out in the heat."

"Ayelén is very nice and helpful from check in to check out. She informs you of tours they have and discounts. She goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. Restaurants, cafés, and the beach are all nearby with just a short walk. There are two mini markets and on the same block for a drink and snack. Isla Bonita has everything you need in just a short walk. It’s quiet at night, the perfect distance from busy downtown so you don’t hear the noise but just close enough to walk to Perfect location."
