"Staff were courteous in all areas from bellhop, checkin, cleaning and restaurant. Room was good size and kept tidy with surplus amenities. Breakfast was excellent as was dinner buffet. A very short stroll to Nexus Vijaya Mall was a great bonus. "

The staff was excellent. The manager at check-in (his name was forgotten) and the manager at check-out (Mr. Ismail) were very professional. They and their working staff took every effort to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. The place is very clean.
I would certainly go here again, and recommend this hotel highly.
The staff is very friendly and professional with a genuine propensity to help. The food was excellent. Deluxe room was decent size, and clean, but lacking a luxury feel, still a great value for the about you pay. Didn't get a chance to check out all other amenities, but decent WiFi and business center.

The room was spacious, with 2 king beds and a full bed, well maintained and very comfortable. The staff was very polite and helpful.
Mathi Residency is also at walking distance from Chennai Central railway station making it very easily accessible and convenient to commute within Chennai.
Came back because we liked it so well the first time. Second visit in fact was even better.
Don't know why people say it's run-down. The furniture, bedding, bathroom, everything showed no signs of wear.
Friendly and courteous staff. Our room was clean and I loved the design of the closet that opened from both the hallway and from inside the bathroom. The wooden clothes hamper is also a very nice feature that I've not seen in other hotels. The only negative was a mildew/chlorine smell (possibly from the pool on the same floor?). Very comfortable bed.
The breakfast selection was wonderful and included plenty of Indian, Asian, and continental choices; excellent coffee and attentive staff.
Very nice stay here the rooms are excellent very clean well maintained the staff was friendly and helpful with all my needs are is close to many sites. I would stay here again.
