Our pre cruise, four-night stay at the Casa Bevant (CB) was truly memorable. The hotel is very centrally located. Turn right upon exiting the hotel and the Recoleta Cemetery, the Recoleta Urban Mall and a host of sidewalk cafes, restaurants and even bars are within a 5-minute walk along a lovely tree lined street. Turn left and there are more coffee bars, bakeries, a major supermarket and if you need it even a place to have your suitcase repaired (we needed that). The hotel itself is well...

This was a great find. Location was excellent with many eateries and sights close by. Minutes from the theater district. Safe area to walk at night. The service by the hotel staff is second to NONE.
Friendly desk staff, comfortable beds and pillows with air conditioning in the room that works well... large kitchen for cooking and a bar with good prices... they feature events most evenings...excellent location, great area to walk around and close to public transportation. Area is safe and clean with a police station just a few doors down... the antique elevator is awesome....seriously one of the best hostels I've visited...highly recommend!!!

We stayed at the Tango de Mayo Hotel on the backend of a multi-week trip to Argentina, right before heading home. On a pleasant quiet side street but just a few blocks away from Santa Fe street made our stay very pleasant the staff was courteous and helpful. And being small we didn’t have to waste time walking thru large lobbies. With only a few rooms per floor there were no long hallways.
Hotel is a high level business-oriented facility. Many of the guests appeared to be professionals visiting Argentina on business. Large number of airline crew present as well. Check-in was smooth, though for persons arriving on early flights, getting to your room might be a problem. I was upgraded for a moderate rate and got a room on the executive floor right away.

This hotel is centrally located in the Recoleta area, across from a mall and cinema and historic cemetary. Great restaurants are steps away. The rooms are spacious - really huge compared to European hotels. They are in the process of changing out mattresses, so be sure to request a room with a new mattress.
