"Excellent hotel in Yufuin! Location is mins walk away from Kinrin Lake so you can enjoy the excellent morning view. Hotel room is clean and comfortable, and the private onsens are really great for relaxing. Dinner and breakfast are really must try in my opinion. Staffs are all very friendly and helpful too."

"We spent two nights at Miyama Sanso after a whirlwind 10 days making our way west from Tokyo. It was the perfect retreat after many days on our feet. The facilities are spotless and the property itself is gorgeous. Beyond the tranquility and picturesque surroundings, the warm, kind, and attentive staff made our stay all the more pleasant and relaxing. They made sure to arrange for transport to and from the hotel and planned an excursion for guests to the main area of Kurokawa Onsen. They also went above and beyond to accommodate our challenging dietary restrictions and made sure we always had a delicious selection of dishes during meals, which elevated the experience. 10/10 would absolutely recommend. I look forward to returning! "

"Lovely ryokan. We didn’t take the meals, and they were served in a dining area, not in the room. But the staff informed us of the early closing hours of locals restaurants and izakaya, and they booked tables for us at both, which was very helpful. They picked us up and dropped us off at the bus stop on arrival/departure. The room was spacious, very clean, with a large window looking out over the forest. I really loved their onsen which is on a balcony, looking at forest and the night sky, it was a mild temperature, not as hot as many onsens, but very nice. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Onsen hopping in Kurokawa Onsen was one of the trips highlights. "
