It's a very unique location on the water with interesting artwork all over the property, four acres to explore, various buildings including a yurt and a yoga studio. We stayed only one night but we hesitated to leave because the vibe was very relaxing.

Helpful staff, especially when needing to change rooms! Would have preferred a small fridge in our room for convenience of breakfast, etc. A great retreat with many relaxing things to do. Wish we'd stayed longer to enjoy them all!

Loved everything about the place, it’s slightly remote which added to the overall appeal. It did offer breakfast at a price, though there is no restaurant at the facility, Kaslo is a few minutes away with plenty of options. You want peace and quiet with access to an amazing area to explore, I would strongly recommend The Sentinel.

Not what I expected when I booked it, but pleasantly surprised. It’s a great set up with lovely rooms and bathrooms with underfloor heating. The common area in the main house is a great place to meet in the morning for coffee ( good machine and great coffee). Log burner with redwood logs. The staff ( Janet and Daniel) were very helpful and pleasant. I’d stay there again if passing through.

We were there for the tour of the property, were so creeped out by the staff and set up of the rooms that were visible to everyone using the area, we found a new hotel. Beautiful property though

The property is in a great location - a few minutes from downtown and so not as crowded, very rustic, peaceful and quiet. The property is big and guests can walk around the property, lie on a hammock under the trees or sit on chairs with a view of the lake and mountain. It is right beside a lake and guests can go kayaking. There is also a sauna and hot tub and what's great is that they're all included. The room is clean and the view from the room is wonderful! The staff are super nice and very friendly and helpful. Communication was great and everything was explained in detail. And don't forget to try their excellent breakfast. Overall, a great experience and will not hesitate to go back!
