A perfect base for the few days I needed. The benefit of having a small kitchen area was the great appeal.
The location of the property was excellent or our purposes on the weekend. The room was generally clean and tidy but the floor tiles had not been cleaned for sometime and our feet got very dirty once we took our shoes off. On arrival we were requested to pay an additional $20 per night for parking i.e. an additional $60, which was not mentioned on the Wotif website. after negotiations we paid only $20 but this should be covered on the Wotif website.
The room was spacious with great amenities, including full kitchenette, air conditioning, and two flat screens (one in front of the bed for comfy viewing). Check-in was quick, friendly and efficient. The hotel is a short walk to quaint Summer Hill shopping district and Summer Hill Railway Station. The only downsides were that my room faced directly onto Parramatta Rd which is very busy, but the windows are good quality and mostly dull the sound; and the door to the room didn't buffer any sound from guests passing at all- that aspect didn't feel very private. If your room is near an elevator be prepared to hear people coming and going. There were some extremely loud guests in front of my room at 1am, but when they entered their room next to mine I couldn't hear them at all. There didn't appear to be any room service option either but I could be mistaken. Overall I would definitely stay here again
I stay here every time I come to Sydney and this was the first time I’ve ever been so upset. No hand towel no bathroom floor mat. The floor was dirty or socks were black from the floor. No extra bin bags there. Dirty foot marks on the wall at the end of the bed. I feel that the service is slipping and not as good as previous visits.
everything to my liking only complaint was other guess who seem to slam doors. not very nice when you are n a dead sleep, I know they are firedoors and a bit heavy but I had noproblem with just closing it with the handle. maybe a sign on the door for curtisy to fellow travellers.
This is my fifty time stay since the hotel open. And also this is my last time stay ! The receptionist often no one attend even call or press button, room smell and stay 2 wks but not change linens, the front office manager use master key straight into my room without knocking the door and I question him and he answered me as you drop door key in reception it’s lie! I show him my key in my hand! That’s terrible rogue! The staff even doesn’t have basic hospitality service standards and training
Close to where we want to be. Parking and room style.
TV not working reported to front desk on booking in Next day told by same front desk person TV was fixed this was not correct reported back to front desk he gave us another remote control to try this didn’t work after 3 complaints he said he would come and check the TV he never came On our 3 and last day in a hot room with no TV and 2 grand children we finally got action We were upgraded to family room next door air conditioner working TV working and given Netflix grandchildren very happy
Hotel looks new but duty manager was a young indian boy...i asked him about my booking, he doesnot have customer service skill.bad smell Inside the hotel room. Doesnot receive phone even during the opening hours.
I was cautious about my expectations after reading mixed reviews but I was super pleasantly surprised. The bed was comfy. The room was huge - and the TV. The only negative was the slight sewage/garbage smell emanating from the lift area. I had also called in advance (the hotel not hotels.com - to ask what the parking situation was) and It was to an off shore call centre that made check in confusing as they had put into place some changes I didn’t ask for. The room was great and I slept so well!
