Wonderful welcome when we arrived by Adam, friendly and helpful. Room was so basic, no Tea & Coffee and walls were bare, curtains were flimsy and the bed was like sleeping on wooden boards, very uncomfortable, woken in early hours by the noise outside the room and we could hear people in the next room coughing and flushing the loo. However, room was clean and warm… best thing about this hotel is the staff, so nice and friendly, sadly the decor and the basic uninviting room won’t be making us want to book again.. advise they change the description on their website as nothing like what was described !!!

Great location. Good for a short stay (we only stayed a night). Some rooms are a little difficult to get to with long corridors and stairs to navigate with big bags. But staff were helpful and the views were lovely. Car park was very small though and a little difficult to park into.

Convenient hotel situated near town centre and train station. Good for a night or two. Lovely staff. Modern entrance/ bar area however the rooms need some TLC! Bathroom looked newer, but the finishing touches were a little sloppy and no wardrobe in room? More of a half finished look… The main ‘amenity’ which was missing was hot drinks. We didn’t expect it in the rooms but there wasn’t an option in the bar area for this which I think would be good in the mornings and later evenings, especially if you’ve travelled later in the day. Barry doesn’t have many hotel options, so a lot of potential here. It just needs some extra money spent to make it that bit better!

Lovely hotel in barry and very close to barry train station so it is a very convenient location. The room was clean and comfortable and for the cost of the room it was good value and cheaper than cardiff.
