The property was clean and with gorgeous views. They have a restaurant as well. U will need to make reservations in advance. Friendly staff.

Clean, modern accommodation with rustic vibes. Well equipped kitchen. The highlight is the hot pool, such a lovely treat at the end of a long day driving and sightseeing! We'll situated as a base for touring the Snaefellsnes Peninsula.

What an incredible property! We stayed in the triple room which was spacious, clean and organized. The shared bathrooms and kitchen were immaculate. The restaurant was delicious and accommodating (especially breakfast). The hot springs were glorious and while I didn’t cold plunge in the pond, others did and it was scenic and wonderful.

This was our favorite place that we stayed while on vacation in Iceland. The views were fantastic, the kids could walk to the park, and we could walk to the geothermal bath on the property. The rental itself had everything we needed. If we come back to Iceland, we will be staying here.

Great new cabins, the hot pool is only available at a cost which we weren’t aware (and the breakfast as well). Location is not ideal as it’s quite remote

Very easy check in. Clean. Nice small kitchen. Quiet area. Great curtains for summer in Iceland. Next to everything. Comfortable bed

Very pleasant visit

Very clean and updated property with a fun trampoline for the kids (or kids at heart). Kitchen was well equipped. Laundry machine was in the unit. Dinner buffet was very nice. We enjoyed the tranquility and the sunset. I did not like that there was a pretty steep charge of 1500 ISK for a towel for the pool (you are not allowed to use room towels). I ended up opting not to use it because of the extra cost.

Received multiple contradictory check in instructions. It was unclear that we were renting a room and not an apartment in a hostel situation. Rules with fees posted everywhere which felt incredibly unwelcoming. Fees to use basic facilities we were expecting. Would not recommend if you have better options.

I came in early winter. Very much the low season. In winter the place feels truly remote, a refuge from the world, which is what I came for. There are a couple easy thing they can do for low-season guests below. The building interior was nice and warm. It was a very nice refuge from the cold, The room was so warm that even with the thermostat all the way down I was overheating until I cracked a window. Yes, in an Icelandic winter. The hot bath is the highlight of the property and my main reason to go there. I didn't quite understand that breakfast had to be pre-ordered. This makes sense, especially in the low season, but I don't remember if this was in the welcome message. Can there be an option when signing up to pre-order for the first morning? Or... we might order ahead for some groceries to be left in the kitchen: muesli or some such. Hostel stuff. Also for winter: I really recommend better lighting by the geothermal pool... maybe just low-power path lighting to make it easier to find your way from the pool to the showers or sauna after sunset. Twice I wanted to use the sauna but didn't because I couldn't see the way to get to it.

Would Not Recommend at all

The room was fine, but all the other aspects are terrible. The hotel sent me 2 identical check in instructions after I made the reservation and on the day of the reservation saying that it's a self check-in process and a map of the resort. We followed the instructions: my name will be on the window of the main door of the room and the room will be open after 4 pm, but there was no name all at the house , the door was NOT open either. We thought we messed up our room number and followed the instructions again that we could find a room number list inside the greenhouse. There was NO room number list in the greenhouse. I called the front desk and the reception asked me to go to the restaurant. We went to the place labeled as "breakfast" on the map provided by the hotel, the place was not the restaurant. We had to drive around the resort to find the restaurant. I am amazed that every single check-in detail provided by the resort is completely wrong. We had dinner at the restaurant. There were only 3 groups of people at the time, yet it took them 50 minutes to get our food. The food wasn't great either. The beef tenderloin was overcooked, and it tasted gamey. We also ordered a lobster bisque, and it was supposed to have bread coming along with the soup, yet the bread came 5 minutes after the soup was served, and it was darn cold. With the quality being so low, the food was surprisingly expensive. It was around the same price as a fancy fine dining restaurant in Reykjavík. We al

Hotel asked me to pay a broken lid damaged by othe

After we checked out, the hotel charged us 4000 isk for an old broken pot lid which was not broken buy us. The hotel did send me a photo showing 3/5 of the broken lid. The broken lid looks very old and must broken many time before (photo attached). The metal frame of the lid already bent maybe long long ago. I explained that we didn’t broken the lid and told them that we only put the lid in the dishwasher. But they didn’t reply my message.

It was a nice size place, easy checkin and parking. We enjoyed the hot tub and cold pond dip. The location was perfect for a day on the peninsula.

Home away from home plus more.

Perfect for a family with a toddler. It was a large house that we stayed at and had so many activities. The setting was perfect, the furnished kitchen offered much needed items and allowed for cooking heated meals and just to relax and enjoy. We plan on returning to this location on our return trip. Highly recommend.

This property was easily my favorite out of the 5 places we stayed. The property itself was fantastic, they had everything you needed there. The restaurant was wonderful, we got the fish of the day and the parmesan soup, it was great. Then the room was exactly what we needed, the shared kitchen was amazing with the designated drawers for each rooms food and the cleanliness. We also used the laundry room while we were there which was very convenient. Then there was the thermal bath and saina area. We did not use the sauna, but the thermal bath and cold plunge area was extremely nice, along with the changing area, very clean and they also had hot water out there to shower in before and after the thermal bath. Overall I would highly recommend the facility.

We rented the bigger house for our family of 6. While the house was great and very clean and comfortable, the hot tub did not work, which was disappointing. The shared hot tub was in a very beautiful spot, but a little unkept with lots of algae floating in the water. The location was beautiful and viewers were stunning.

8/10 Very good

Beautiful hot tub and setting. A bit noisy in the shared guesthouse, kinda a high end hostel. Decent kitchen but broken toaster. The staff wasn’t conscientious of guests. The fridge was defrosting and leaking in the floor. Felt like a bit of a money grab—have to pay for hot tub towels for instance. But overall pleasant.

It was so clean, well organized, and comfortable. I loved soaking in the hot bathwater after a stormy day. It is very conveniently located to tour Snaefellesness.
