The location is amazing and a great view of Lake Temiskaming. I got to swim at the beach in early June and the water was perfect, since it is seperate from Lake Temiskaming, otherwise would have been too cold. It was a highlight to be able to swim at the beach right by the hotel. The staff is really friendly and they make an enjoyable free breakfast for the guests.

It’s a relatively clean property, a bit outdated for the cost. Noise levels are fairly high in the summer time being right by the lake.

Some simple maintenance should be done. Barbecue cleaned, old rusty chair on barbecue deck thrown out, cigarette ashtrays cleaned daily Duvets should be replaced as they show their age Overall a comfortable place with a great view and very quiet. Nice patio to enjoy coffee in the morning along with the included breakfast sandwich (not the best) AC worked fine Still, we would visit again

I am writing to share my deep disappointment with my recent 12-night stay at your property. Unfortunately, several recurring issues significantly impacted my experience: 1-Communication & Front Desk: I experienced persistent communication difficulties at the front desk, often needing to repeat basic requests multiple times to be understood. 2-Breakfast Service: I was informed at check-in that breakfast was served from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM. However, the breakfast area was repeatedly locked until 7:30 AM, preventing me from getting breakfast throughout my entire stay. 3-Housekeeping Standards: On several occasions, housekeepers hung used bath mats over the bathtub to dry for re-use rather than providing clean ones. Given these service and housekeeping failures, my stay was very disappointing.

I won't hide the fact that it's a motel, and that the rooms aren't exactly up-to-date, but the owner is so nice, the egg mcmuffin is delicious, and the view is worth the detour!!!
