TL;DR: This riad is as advertised.
It’s super colorful, and has a friendly and accomodating staff. The views are great and there’s plenty of spots for pictures. Most of the complaints are exaggerated.
There are 2 sides to the riad, the main side with reception and the rooftop, and the pool side that has the well-known courtyard they advertise. If you stay in the main side, you can only access the pool side during its open hours. But trust me, you’re going to want to stay on the main side, and they will put you there upfront.
The only downside I could see with this Riad was the location. The alleyways to get there do seem a bit sketch, but when you realize it’s mostly other riads and families down those streets, you’ll feel better. While it seems close to everything, it’s a 20 min walk to get back from out of it’s tucked away location into the heart of Medina.
