Lovely stay with very welcoming and friendly hosts. Good to have parking and was an easyish walk into town via the marina. We were lucky that it was dry and warm whilst we were there ! Had a beautiful room which was nicely furnished with a great bed, large bathroom and a decent powerful shower. Breakfast ordered the night before and it was top notch. Lovely fresh fruit with yoghurt and a full English with Eggs cooked to perfection. No faults or complaints and would 100% recommend.

Good location, clean rooms. Good breakfast. The gardens are lovely as well, although we were there in inclement weather. Would be lovely in the summer. We would make one suggestion - the host asked us to leave our shoes at the front door which is fine, as obviously that keeps the property very clean, but it would have been good to know before we arrived as then we could have taken slippers, but this didn’t detract from our stay.

We only stayed at Storrs Gate House for one night to break a long journey to Scotland but we would have no hesitation in returning for longer to explore the area properly. The accommodation was supremely comfortable, the breakfast was superb and the hosts were wonderfully welcoming. Storrs Gate House is only a short and pleasant stroll from the centre of Bowness but far enough away to be quiet and tranquil. Altogether top notch. Highly recommended.
