The hotel was great! Wonderful location, near metro and bus routes. I booked a Quadruple Room for myself niece and nephew. It was large and perfect for us. I contacted the hotel to see if they could check my luggage as my flight arrived in the early morning. The responded quickly and luckily my room was already available when I arrived. The hotel has an amazing vibe, and we all loved it.

The room was clean and comfortable overall and the staff members were very friendly. The upper level bar and restaurant were very nice and we liked that there was a coffee counter in the lobby where you could get drinks and pastries. Please be aware before booking that this hotel is a multi-purpose space which has a coworking space and also hosts late night live music/DJ/dancing events. 3 of the 4 nights we stayed, we heard extremely loud music until 5-6am and we could feel the vibration of the bass from our hotel room. This made it extremely difficult to sleep. It seems strange for a hotel to host parties late at night when people are trying to sleep.

We booked 5 days at Volkhotel to celebrate my partner's PhD submission. This hotel was perfect for the occasion. We could sleep in, have a luxurious buffet breakfast in the 7th floor, enjoy some of the cultural activities and shows, have a break playing some table tennis at Riet, stop for glühwine at the Veerkplats conversation pit, and end the day in the 8th floor sauna! The rooms were spotless, staff were helpful with all of our special requests, and truthfully I'm a little bit sad having to leave home today. We could not have asked for a more relaxing holiday. Really good position for getting around the city, comfortable rooms but the staff stood out the most - really helpful throughout. Bags were lost at schipol, I gave them a heads up I would be late, by the time I got there I'd been upgraded to a studio apartment unit.
